Hopefully these Conte spats provide some sort of positive now. The media and everyone are all talking about his Levy comments and now realizing what majority of us have seen over the years. Its not good enough.

No one should be happier or benefit more from Conte's comments yesterday than whoever our next manager turns out to be. He's just gone in and done all their dirty work for them whilst exposing all the constraints that continually get swept under the carpet.

It's hard to imagine we get any of this, but a huge reset is needed.

1) Next manager needs to be a strong positive character who has a positive football ethos
2) Needs to be publicly backed in a statement by Levy.
3) New DOF needs to know the league or have someone that does appointed as an assistant.
4) A ruthless culling of players must happen
5) Try not to hire criminals, emotional nutcases or "win now" coaches.
6) The constant soap opera needs to end, Daniel, build something on the football side for fuck sake, we're actually a football club, FOOTBALL CLUB, where it's possible for knowledgeable grown ups to achieve something and work in harmony for a shared goal. and you can still make money..

We will never struggle to get in a manager. Biggest league in the world, European football most of the time, London, the facilities etc

It wont be an issue for an aspiring manager.

But I think the big names, in this case (Tuchel, Enrique, even Poch to an extent) will look at the last few years and steer well clear.

Buzzing for next season when the new coach gives everyone a clean slate.

Lloris
Perro Romero Dier Reggi
Holjberg
Winks N’Dombele Le Celso
Son Kane

what a team! Silverware is on its way!
Obviously you'd play Skipp instead of Winks 😗

Not sure how much difference a new manager will make. We might get a lift short term, and we’ll be back in this situation again in 12-18 months. Round and round in circles…

I didnt say that..Im just not sure it will make much difference no matter what we do. It feels like déjà vu everytime..
It’ll be more luck than judgement if the next bloke is ‘successful’

The guy that appoints him and signs the cheques has no football plan or ambitions of Glory

Once again we are a laughing stock in the press. Needs to be sacked to at least show we can’t have that (even if it’s true)

Agreed but I feel like this is the first time the supports opinions are being echoed in the public by the manager and that has now woken up the press.

Why do you care what the media say though? Anyway, it's nothing new that they're laughing at us, should be used to it by now. Pay no attention, banter over something we can't control is not something to get wound up about.

Not sure why Kompany felt the need to answer when asked about Viera. Should only talk about his club. I never like it when managers do that, same for talking about another teams player.
Agree... and the problem with Kompany if we want him... is that I would never feel that he would be a Tottenham-manager with all his heart... it would be a job for his next step... I want a manager who can see himself at Tottenham for many years and don't think about other jobs.

Like that matters with Levy pulling the strings! Who in their right mind can work under that control freak for any number of years

And god forbid he looks like being ‘the one’ Levy would fuck it all up. Cannot stop himself

If Kompany is offered the City job after being here, then that means he did a successful job with us doesn't it? Need to stop worrying about two moves down the line when nobody knows what will happen. Everyone said the same re Gerrard and then he failed at Villa.

That first sentence and last paragraph are a bit contradictory.
Pay the money we do and they'll come. Hasn't Enrique and Poch already said they are interested?

It is but sets us back as the pressure will be on in the build up all week in the media to games away Everton Newcastle etc and in the press all week it will be spursy comments as the manager even doesn’t rate them. We’ll end up finishing 6 or 7th in that ECL shit again for next year
