It’s a regular occurrence in the general business environment to hold interviews for a replacement, if someone has already handed in their notice.

Im sure if Conte has said he’s not re-signing, then he will be aware successors will be being sounded out and interviewed.

Yup. If anything, the 2021 manager search shows that we cannot afford to sit on our hands until the end of the season.

Did one ITK say Fonseca wasn't Paratici's pick though it makes you question even more, whose it was
Don’t know about ITK but there are quotes from fonseca himself saying Levy and Mitchell wanted him as they all agreed on a coach who would develop young players and play an attractive style of football, then Paratici came in and pulled the plug last minute, they’d been planning out signings and pre season for Fonseca so it was very very close.

Paratici then wanted to get Gattuso, fans put a stop to that and we ended up with Nuno.

Would be extremely surprised if Paratici has done a 180 and now is fine or is actively pushing for Fonseca.

Sounds like media just making up stories to me.

Personally I’d be intrigued by Fonseca, his style of play certainly suits exactly what we are looking for and he’s a likeable character.

Graham Potter, I fear would turn out to be AVB.

AVB had done a good job and tried to implement his style at Chelsea and it failed horrendously. Went to Us and tried to do something different.
Had AVB tried to implement a similar style with us, it would have worked better imo. Especially with Bale in the Hulk role and gone with soldado as a poacher only. He tried to do much at spurs and it wasn't clear what he was doing other than bale doing everything

Potter imo, would second guess himself after not getting Chelsea players to buy in to his philosophy at Chelsea
Speaking of AVB, it’s funny to see Gallardo be called young when he’s actually older than AVB and it feels a lifetime ago that he was managing Spurs. He’s closer in age to Conte than Nagelsman, another “young” manager we were supposedly after.

I can't imagine us going for Fonseca over poch
I can whilst Paratici is here, whilst he ultimately changed his mind on Fonseca, everything indicates Paratici isn't really a fan of Pochettino. I doubt we get either though.

Ultimately I think it's levys choice, can't see paratici being here next season anyway

Fully expecting another chaotic 72 day (or more) managerial search with someone underwhelming or random like Gattuso or Frank Lampard waiting at the end of it. I have no faith they have the foggiest idea what they're doing

I’d still rather he showed what he’s got at someone like Southampton, Brighton or Leeds first. It’s too big a risk on someone who’s only ever done it in the minor leagues.

He may well be though highly of, but it’s a massive step up from managing in the Japanese or Scottish league to managing in the English premier league.
Indeed
Very good argument Gerrard did a better job in Scotland than Ange has done so far, after all he took Rangers to Europa League Final, but as soon as he came South, was out of his depth.

What is Mason doing there lol

Enrique feels like the best appointment but not a good fit for Spurs.

I find it hard to believe he will put up with Levy’s bullshit and I don’t know if he’s suited for England, feels like he’ll jump to Spain when a Madrid/Barca approach - plus our squad is nowhere near technically gifted enough for him.

Weird if Paraciti doesn’t fancy Poch.

Paraciti has done excellently with player recruitment, but his head coach preferences have left a lot to be desired.
