I think he is out of excuses.

People will try and defend this as they always do because.. but the optics are terrible.

This is a chairman having his name sung in a negative light at every game, a chairman whose reputation is down the drain and having articles written about how he is not good enough anymore and a chairman who knows he has to get this right.

So he decided to ignore the obvious choice in Poch to get everyone back on board., then he makes sure everyone knows he doesn't want the most qualified candidate and now he has lost out on his top candidate.

Sure there can be reasons but it isn't good enough. Compare us and them financially , it's a different universe, this doesn't happen if we're serious.

At this rate no matter what he does it's going to look like he's shooting in the dark desperately and that's the last thing you want with such an important decision.

I'd say this can't carry on but it will. People will defend him no matter how much he hurts the club and the fanbase hasn't got the desire to really do what's needed to get him out but it's heartbreaking as we have so much potential to build something special but this man is so out of his depth.

Nagelsmann is the one, he would make so much sense and you know his DOF choices would also be good. I'm praying Levy panics and gives in.
You "Think"?
He was OUT of excuses YEARS ago.

The worry for me now is Amorim or Postecoglou being the leading candidates, or someone 'worse'. I could see the good in Slot even in not knowing anything of him initially but I don't think I can develop that same enthusiasm for anyone else other than Nagelsmann. Everyone else mentioned would feel underwhelming.

I could get behind a project with Ange or Amorim.

It's Glasner that scares me as a lesser anti attacking Conte type. I'm not a guy who worships Fab but he tweeted/retweeted info on Glasner saying something along the lines of "new project soon" as if he just has some inside info.. hahaha

Remember, we were told there were 2 top targets and from talks with them, there was a big drop off between our top target and number 2.

This is a worry.

Is it though?

We are trusting the club’s judgement that it is a big drop off and I would suggest their judgement is highly questionable. I wouldn’t worry about that but if info.

I keep saying it but flirting with multiple options never turns out well.
Its comes back to the usual lack of a plan, trying to be too clever whilst not actually being decisive as to which direction we want to go down.

We should've had options lined up ready for when Conte inevitably threw his toys out the pram.

This is summer of 2021 repeating itself all over again.

God knows who we will turn to now.

Mr Daniel Levy was very confident he had both Nagelsmann and Slot nailed. He thought Slot was just ironing out details. I knew what his demands were. And just sensed it would get f**cked up as usual. Please accept that he is getting this very feking wrong.
If this doesn’t make the Lewis family decide that Levy is not a good custodian for the £1bn+ they have invested in Spurs what will?

Is there any link to us returning to DoF's that were previously Nagelsmann's choice(s) per chance?

Really clutching now granted but I'm struggling to see the next move this club makes otherwise.

De Zerbi
Alonso
Kompany
Amorim
Pochettino
Slot

Nagelsmann (tentatively)
Gallardo (fucking please!)
Postecoglou

Outside of this, Jesus......

We managed to get a guy who said 'If I'm still managing in Holland in 2 years, it's been a failure', to actually sign a new contract in Holland.

Our crack team of negotiators know how to operate.
But slot said we haven't spoke to him

I wouldn't be greatly enthusiastic about any of them, but I agree in Glasner being the scarier option though.

Getting closer and closer to Brendan with each passing day ...
He is the Nuno of the summer of 2023 isn't he, although I much prefer him to Nuno to go from having some possible options if we committed and really went for it of : JN, Poch, Slot, De Zerbi, Kompany, Big Ange to ending up with someone like Rodgers says everything about Levy anyone will ever want to know about how the club is run.

Big Ange the only one left who I'd be vaguely excited about now, L.Enrique to a point but don't think he's a great fit.

History has a sense of repeating itself.
