Mr Daniel Levy was very confident he had both Nagelsmann and Slot nailed. He thought Slot was just ironing out details. I knew what his demands were. And just sensed it would get f**cked up as usual. Please accept that he is getting this very feking wrong.

Not sure how we go back to JN unless Levy caves in to JN's demands and I can't see him doing that. Depressing times indeed. Thank God we've got the go kart track.

Considering WLB said Slot and Amorim were the leading candidates I’m expecting/hoping we now start getting noise about Amorim being in ‘pole position’ for the job.

I know some of you can’t shake the fact he plays wing backs but personally I think he has just as many credentials to be our manager as Slot did.

Amorim’s release clause is too high for us to go for him. We’ll probably find out that’s why we couldn’t get Slot in the end. We bailed at the compensation fee.

The slide to mid-table has started and we will be there for several years.

I just hope the ineptitude at the top doesn't cause us to slide further than that.

The worry for me now is Amorim or Postecoglou being the leading candidates, or someone 'worse'. I could see the good in Slot even in not knowing anything of him initially but I don't think I can develop that same enthusiasm for anyone else other than Nagelsmann. Everyone else mentioned would feel underwhelming.

A beautiful morning in sunny Cardiff.

Driving into the office when suddenly "BREAKING NEWS SURROUNDING TOTTENHAM" on TalkSport.

"Here we go, Slot being announced"

.......Alex Crook delivering a shit right in my lap the insufferable smug git.

Sigh......this club......

1 or 2 bad moves + kane going and we all of a sudden could look like everton...

Yeah, I think we're there now. A bad start away from relegation trouble. Remember we had our best start in the PL era last season and look how we're finishing. Some tricky fixtures early on and we will be in the dogfight all season. If Kane goes it's hard to see where the club goes next other than down.

Don’t worry about it. Whoever the next “top target” is will be rigorously looked into and the SC hive mind will unanimously declare that they were the best choice all along!

That possible nice surprise you mentioned would be really handy right now....

Look forward to a comms announcement on Saturday evening that we haven’t ever spoken to him and he wasn’t under consideration
