They dont have to buy him in January, just commit to buy in summer, then with come clever accounting it can free up some cash for January
Indeed that's right. If we signed a new loan deal with an obligation to buy. The point is that because he'll only have 12 months left the amount will be fairly trivial in the scheme of things so probably wouldn't affect our budget. Getting him off the books for certain and freeing up a squad place would be the main thing

Happy for him, for sure. It always seemed like his treatment at the club was somewhat strange.
He seemed to be a really solid backs to the wall type of defender, so quite odd that Conte didn't rate him at all. I wonder if the issue was around how good his passing and distribution is, particularly under pressure.

I wonder if we'll recall Rodon in January. He's having a really good season at Leeds and would be a much better fit for the CB position over Dier and Davies.

I don't think he's got the speed that Postecoglu wants.

Well he's certainly not getting that from Dier and Davies.

Considering we won't have much in the way of transfer budget and January is already tough as it is to get players in - I don't see the value in relying on Dier, Davies & Royal as CB's when Rodon is definitely quicker than the 1st two and is a better CB fit than Emerson.

I think it has been suggested several times that he cannot be recalled in January.

I'm not sure he can be recalled but nevertheless I don't think it would be the preferred option anyway, that would be to recruit and we'll have to see if that is successful.

Started as Leeds won again, judging by fans comments they love him up there, think he’s got a home there next season whether they come up or not.

he has been a rock for Leeds this season, i wonder if Ange will give him a chance.

if we learned anything from this season, it should be that we need 4 recognized center-backs.

is he counted as Home Grown in Europe competition?
