Indeed that's right. If we signed a new loan deal with an obligation to buy. The point is that because he'll only have 12 months left the amount will be fairly trivial in the scheme of things so probably wouldn't affect our budget. Getting him off the books for certain and freeing up a squad place would be the main thing

He seemed to be a really solid backs to the wall type of defender, so quite odd that Conte didn't rate him at all. I wonder if the issue was around how good his passing and distribution is, particularly under pressure.

I think I told you that Joe used to go to school with my mate’s son. This chap was in the same class. Joe was on the trip with his brother Sam… the lad jumped/fell from his hotel balcony… Joe was there at the time. I can’t imagine what he’s going through. Tragic.

Well he's certainly not getting that from Dier and Davies.

Considering we won't have much in the way of transfer budget and January is already tough as it is to get players in - I don't see the value in relying on Dier, Davies & Royal as CB's when Rodon is definitely quicker than the 1st two and is a better CB fit than Emerson.

I think it has been suggested several times that he cannot be recalled in January.

I'm not sure he can be recalled but nevertheless I don't think it would be the preferred option anyway, that would be to recruit and we'll have to see if that is successful.

depends on who else is interested when the time comes. I’d expect at that price there would be other suitors if Leeds won’t stump up

if we learned anything from this season, it should be that we need 4 recognized center-backs.
