Please stop arguing guys 🤍 We're all on the same side and this sort of division is exactly what Granit Xhaka wants.

Being genuine to be honest, there is no need to get so worked up about something out of our control.

It's not healthy.
I’m not worked up, you opened a conversation up by telling me you don’t take anything I say seriously and then got surprised when I wasn’t perfectly civil back?

It’s off topic and weird. I will actually make use of the ignore button now just so that no-one else has to read any more pathetic drama.

Have a good day 👍

It would be intriguing to know who it is that the club have lined up, as Herc alluded to the other day as it might give us an insight as to why the club are not rushing into any decisions.

My worry (and I have no itk whatsoever) is that the club have sounded out de zerbi or whoever and they have said a few positive things but it'll have to wait until the summer. So our choices are keep Conte or appoint mason until the season end. The big worry is whoever we've sounded out doesn't actually take the job and we are in turmoil again...

If we were keen on poch or whoever available now then surely levy would pull the trigger. I guess even then poch could say I'd sooner take the job in the summer.

Maybe it’s Gallardo but we’re tracking his duolingo progress

It was said as a bit of a joke because you've made your mind up on this matter and it's showing in your posts. This thread is full of vitriol and spite. Is there harm in trying to have a bit of a laugh?

Nothing weird about having a concern for another human being.

Whats weird is having to tell people you're putting me on ignore.

Hugo is a World Cup winning captain who has been captain for about 8 managers at spurs and France. I don’t think they all picked him because his weak attitude trickles down to the whole squads. Davies is universally recognised as a solid pro, so either Eric Dier is responsible for the mentality of the whole squad or this isn’t something that can be blamed on the same old players. I’ll take option B.

Each to their own, but just to add Hugo is a WC winning captain of arguably the strongest French squad we’ve ever seen. Starting team and depth wise.

Makes the fact that he’s the respected captain of them more impressive then doesn’t it? They hardly lack for choice if they needed an inspirational captain and didn’t already have one.

Can't believe our future choice of manager could come down to the whims of this needy prick:

He has to be removed from post. If nobody else is available, let Mason take over until the end of the season.

So with all that talent to choose from he remained captain for over 10 years, whilst also being captain for managers as diverse as Poch, Mourinho and Conte. What a loser.

Now that non sequitur is out of the way, are you actually going to address my point? You said it was all down to senior players, I pointed out hardly any have been here very long and the ones that have include the likes of Kane and Lloris. Our squad construction is on levy. Our lack of ambition is on levy. If the squad is weak mentally that’s primarily on Conte, and moaning about it to try and get fired was a total dick move

If I were Gallardo or Enrique and was the chosen one I'd probably wait until summer to come. Why risk making a bad start when it's not time to change that much and while we are currently 4th you can argue it's more things to lose in that aspect too.

In what way have I been biased? Consistently have said Conte should be doing better, while the players aren't good enough.

But anyone can always say the players are not good enough in any underperforming team. I would be more ready to accept this excuse if we had not bought so many new players since Conte joined. Players most of us were happy with.

I've not checked the figures, but we must have spent more in the past couple of years than we have at any other point in our history. I appreciate football inflation needs to be taken into account, but we have still spent more freely in the last few windows than any time I can remember.

In yesterday's match-day squad:
Romero, Emerson, Porro, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Danjuma, Sarr- that must be £300m of players since the beginning of last season?

Plus Perisic, who came on a free but is on big wages... And then there are players who are not in yesterday's squad like Bissouma and Bentancur. That must be another £50m at least. Not to mention Spence.

Which of today's Elite managers don't have a specific way of playing that are winning trophies?

I'll wait.
The only managers considered as elite or those who will very likely win some trophies this season and constantly aren't trying new things/adapting in current season I can name two - Luciano Spalletti and Mikel Arteta.
Because they don't have any reason to change their current way of playing.

Not what I was saying in the context of the conversation but I've been saying it since Poch left and Jose was here that there are a lot of players that need to move on. The problem is theyre too comfortable here and don't want to move on. We need a serious cull of some very poor players to allow the next man to move forward and to progress as a club. Hopefully he's allowed to do that by Levy.
