He's an idiot and will deservedly be banned for ages. However, the ball boy was a wanker for lying on top of the ball rather than give it back, and a ponce for reacting the way he did crying wolf to a very gentle tap from hazard. Hazard deserves his ban, but that boy doesn't deserve his testicles!

Remember the time one of our ball boys threw the ball hard into one of the goons players (think it was pires but not sure)- that was out of order but he got a massive cheer from the whole of the lane - it was brilliant

Having seen the replay properly and not out of the corner of my eye with a moutful of food. Yeah, shouldn't have done it but hardly an assault. Great form by the lad though. He's a surefire prem star of the future with those acting skills.

I don't think it was really like that.
The ballboy was in the process of retrieving the ball when Hazard tried to get it off him. The ballboy was committed to the motion, he couldn't just stop. So when Hazard intervened the boy fell over onto the ball. He was flailing around like a drowning porpoise, I don't think his goal was to cling onto the ball, or else it would have been more obvious. Then hazard kicked him in his unguarded ribs, he didn't just tap him, he was trying to get the ball out, it would have hurt anyone.
Then, he sold it so long, because, I believe, he was about to start crying and wanted to hide it!

The ball boy had boasted on twitter prior to the game about how he was going to be behind the home goal during both halves and even hashtagged #timewasting. I think the kid knew exactly what he was doing.
