I must of watched a different match. They seemed to have more possession but not once did i feel worried.
Totally agree with this! The commentators were making out like it was a barrage of West Ham chances but I literally can’t think of a clear cut chance they created all game other than their goal. They had no creativity and we were very solid

Palace next, seems they are at pretty much full strength, good we have three full days to recover
Should be able to put out a very strong team, fancy us to win.
Then Saints away who strangely enough just played Palace, and next West Ham
Theoretically a tough one for us, as they should be fresher, with no league cup game. But Saints team looks poor on paper. Much depends on their keeper situation.
We have a great chance of 100 per cent Xmas
Then even more weirdly, in fact it's positively incestuous by now, we then play Watfor, who will have just played West Ham, and then play Palace after us
All the players will have twelve fingers and three eyes after the festive period ?
PS I have nothing against twelve fingered three eyed people and apologies if any offence has been caused by this post ❤️

Second half they battered us but they had nothing up front - Declan Rice was outstanding he dominated the second half we needed someone to stand on him Hojberg couldn't get near him

I still felt like we comfortably defended most of what they threw at us. They caused us some problems with crosses from Doherty’s side but that was about it! Lloris made one outstanding save and any others were routine saves.

I agree with your point about Rice. He’s a phenomenal player. He literally played the perfect match tonight, doesn’t mean his team deserved the win though, they didn’t create enough clear cut chances to win the game

they had nothing up front without Antonio - Soucek two headers at the end of the first half brought good saves from LLoris and Benhrama should have done better when he turned in the box otherwise it was farily safe though they are a threat from set pieces - Rice though in the second half was so good if he leaves there someone will get one hell of a midfield player

After the first set of substitutions we gained a bit more control in midfield. Nevertheless when we were defending despite having two lines of 5 and 3 it’s a bit worrying how easily West Ham found time and space between the lines. Still a lot for Conte to work on.

All WHU had against us was an arial fret which we couldn't handle. They were quite bland and had no out/ball with Antonio missing. Rice was oustanding and so was Lloris , overal we deserved thd win.

We would beat Arsenal in a final simply cause Arteta only has one way of playing and can't change a game. Conte would beat him easily in that respect.

Having said that, we'd probably get two reds and have a second COVID outbreak.

If we get to the final we will play Liverpool just so the media can drag up the CL final every two seconds to rub our noses in that. Revenge would be name of the game there.

Which is a good thing if you think about it, it means we will get even better.

The only time they really had good quality chances were that 3 minute spell after we went 1-0 where they had 3 good chances at least. As well as the Bowen one on one snuffed out by Lloris. Second half though it was just a series of speculative shots as they couldn't find a way past our low block. I'd rather we played higher up, and has gone against us on occasion, but yes, they weren't exactly knocking on the door.

Its a football game anything can happen. And tbh Arsenal are playing pretty well right now, certainly better than Chelsea.

I really dont want Arsenal in the final, even if the sober opinion would be them over facing liverpool. But lose to Liverpool, fine, wouldn't be nice but whatever, lose to Arsenal it will be remembered for a long time.

After reflecting on this game it worries me. We struggle to beat West Ham who basically played a full second string bar 3 players.
I know we won but we should be blowing away their second string.

They had plenty of rest after not having played for a week. We played Sunday in a fiery tough game against one of the best teams in the league, with players having had Covid. In what world are we blowing any PL team away regardless of what team they put out?

2nd half was very Joseball , if anyone was going to score it was them. Sonny again very wasteful , no idea what’s up with him but the chance that Kane lays on for him - he has to at least test the keeper but that touch was just shocking .
