I made a quick compilation of his 1st half. I'll make his 2nd half tomorrow.
I think us being an exciting team to watch relies on him cementing the 8 in a 2 man midfield with Hojbjerg and dominating games. When he's good we look a totally different team. I feel bad saying it but we need to minimalise Winks and Sissoko's involvement if we want the kind of football we're craving. Winks is a good squad player and fine in the Europa and cups but we need more in the league. What's impressed me with him is that his ambling body language seem to have changed, no more head down when he needs to defend and jogging back, he is, sprinting back trying to win he ball, to me that is down to mentality, obviously he had to get fitter but now it looks like he 100% wants to fight for the ball.
The other thing Ndombele cementing a spot in the middle dues is that it massively improves our squad balance, as suddenly our CM depth is Højbjerg and Ndombele to start, but all of Winks, Sissoko and Lo Celso who could feasibly come in for any of them on an ad job basis off the bench. Yes, all of these would technically weaken our midfield, but we’re not really in a position to have to first choice level players in every position.I think us being an exciting team to watch relies on him cementing the 8 in a 2 man midfield with Hojbjerg and dominating games. What would make this perfect is if Mourinho ends up trusting the Ndombele-Højbjerg axis with only two centre backs behind it. If we get to that point, I think we’ll start looking very good, 16/17 season levels of good.

His bad performances last season were few and far between. There, I said it.

The answer to this question is no - there is absolutely no point in pressing this man. Try and he'll even make guys like Kante look like Mark Noble, left in the dust.

I honestly think Spurs would sell out the Lane if they gave Dembele a testimonial and played those two in a double pivot.Been said a million times but I'm just thinking of having him and peak Dembele at the base of our midfield, would be quite something wouldn't it?

His overall number of performances were equally few.His bad performances last season were few and far between. There, I said it.
I think we have some good combinations in there. I would still expect to see Hojbjerg and Sissoko with Ndombele in front against the top teams. Hopefully Jose is encouraged now to play Hojbjerg alongside Ndombele in a fair number of games though especially at home. We have a few good options for attacking midfield so can add another attacking player in there if Ndombele plays deeper. Lo Celso being the obvious choice when fit but I actually would like to see Bale there at times. At least it shifts the balance between central attacking midfielders and central midfielders a bit more.
