Today I found out that nearly 20,000 + tickets will be sold to non Spurs or Chelsea members. What a bloody discgrace and insult to us the true supporters, who may not be able to get a ticket. This IS NOT the clubs fault or rule, but the Leagues. So 20,000 Jolly tickets - or so called hospitality guests of the Football League, will replace true Spurs or Chelsea supporters. Its time the Clubs stood up and fought for more allocation , its time the members started a huge campaign to overturn this farce. Wembley holds over 80,000 doesnt it - by my reckoning that should be 40,000 seats each for the finalists. What do you think. ???? :bang:

No - I meant it has alway been the true supporters that struggle to get tickets.

For the 1973 league cup final I got a ticket from the famous scalper Stan Flashman and for the Man City FA Cup final I paid a tenner to climb over the turnstile (about 4 times the going rate for a ticket)
When the replays for the City & QPR finals were held all the tickets went to the clubs and I had a mate at QPR who had hundreds to get rid off so it was kinda WAG's day out as well
once our mates were all sorted, even my old Ma & my ex-wife went to that one (Not with me though)

The Cup Final has always been a "society" occasion and tickets have always been allocated unfairly.

When Spurs did the Double, there was no way we could get tickets for the Cup Final unless we bought them from a tout at an exhorbitant price. They were like gold dust (and as expensive). White Hart Lane was buzzing with touts and even some of the Spurs players were involved in making money out of their personal allotments of tickets too, I'm sad to say.

A year later, my dad and I went to a mid-week evening match and were surprised to be given draw tickets at the turnstile. At half-time, there was an announcement that these tickets were a draw for Cup Final tickets to be bought at face value and had been given out because it was a cold, rainy night when only true fans would have bothered to turn up for the game. The winning number/letter combinations were then announced.

We were among the lucky winners and got our Cup Final tickets at the proper price from the ticket office the very next day. So we went to Wembley and watched our team win the Cup for the second year running, this time against Burnley. I don't think we'd have been able to get tickets any other way and certainly couldn't afford the prices the touts were demanding.

I hate the way tickets are allocated for Cup Finals and all other special occasions and I also despise touts and wish the practice could be made illegal.

I remember the days of the ballot tickets one time an Everton fan who was a friend of ours came to a Saturday game, he nipped through one side of the turnstile and got a ticket for a final while we didn't. The barsteward flogged it on at a profit, needless to say he wasn't our friend any more after that.

Tout bashing and rolling was quite popular in the early eighties as well. Hmmm.

General football? You'll get more responses there.

Right, it's scandalous and always has been, and people have been complaining about it ever since I can remember, which is roughly as long as Cosmic and TCO. Who knows, something might actually be done one day. But I'm not holding my breath.

One thing that's sure as eggs is eggs, a lot of the tickets that don't go to the clubs will find their way to ordinary supporters, at rip-off prices.

Don't "club Wembley" ticket hlders get tickets for this final? If so, then it's just tough shit, they paid for the tickets to help fund the stadium.

Regardless of which teams are in the final it's a national competition and should have consideration for fans of football.

The touts should be hung, drawn and quartered and not even be allowed to purchase a bus ticket! Making good money on tickets from genuine fans be it sport or music concerts etc should come with severe punishment and more importantly should be shunned by all fans so that touts wouldn't even have the opportunity. If you keep going to the crack dealer he's going to keep selling crack so to speak.

90,000 capacity minus 20,000 seats = 70,000

70,000 divided by 2 = 35,000 which is pretty much the number of home fans who attend Spurs and Chelsea games. So, in theory, true fans should be able to get hold of tickets for this particular game.

Still, it's fucking outrageous how tickets are allocated and the amount they cost, but this is nothing new. Touts make me fucking sick. Football is dead. Etc etc.

I'll be getting one fo those corperate tickets, so I couldn't give a monkeys!!!

Money talks, if you have it, you can get things, but like above 70K seats split is still more than what both clubs get in their home stadiums!

What about Capello? Should he be allowed to go, despite not being a Tottenham or Chelsea fan?

I don't see why there's so much tout bashing. I mean without them people wouldn't get tickets at any price, unless they personally knew the person who had the ticket.

I don't blame the FA for giving corporate tickets out but do they really need to give out 30,000?!

Of those 30.000 corp' tickets, probably half will end up in the hands of touts & ticket agents, to be sold on to desperate fans forced to pay crazy prices. :bang:

( Plenty willing to pay big, me included ):eek:mg:

Supply & Demand sucks!!!:bang::bang:
