Yeah, basically, talk about tennis. Anyone here like/play it? Been watching the Aussie Open?

I was watching earlier and on a set point Federer hit an unreturned serve which Hartfield successfully challenged. So then Federer just went an hit a second serve ace straight down the middle and just smiled. Classic stuff.

So, erm, discuss.

Oh, forgot to say, Maria Kirilenko won today. Which is good news cause she has a great...forehand.

As they are in all Grand Slams, Baghdatis and Vaidisova were my picks for the Aussie, but unfortunately both went out on Sunday.

Don't really care who wins now. :'(

Watching the Tsonga v Djokovic final from Melbourne at the moment. One set each at the moment.

Tsonga is an incredibly talented young player; no doubt he'll be at Wimbledon this year and I'll be glued to the set watching how he does. Going to be among the top seeds very soon no matter what the result is today.

Djokovic deserved to win in the end, but Tsonga deserves a lot of credit for getting as far as he did, will be interesting to see if he wins anything this year. Before this tournament he'd never even got to a final before!

Btw, Kirilenko > Ivanovic.

People were slating Murray for crashing out to Tsonga in the first round.

Well, I think we can now say that Murray was just damn unlucky... at least he got a set off Tsonga, didn't he manage to win in straight sets in most of his other games?

Mental, Murray just beat Federer. Which means he's going to win, this year he's alternated between winning a tournament and going out in the first round!

I guessed you were going to bring that up. What actually happened was that an English journalist wound him up by asking how he thought Scotland were going to do, or words to that effect, knowing full well that they weren't in it. And Murray replied tounge in cheek that he was going to wear his Paraguay shirt.

But obviously this has been taken completely out of context by the tabloids, who have made out Murray to be an England hater. Granted Murray was a being naive saying that in the first place but he was like 18 at the time.

Just thought I'd explain as it annoys me people always bringing that up! He's a good player, and the only British hope at the moment, so really I couldn't care less what he said.

It wasn't naive from Andy. I have known him for years, that is just how he is. He is very sharp and dry. I thought it was quite funny really, most Scots want the England team to lose.

He just lost to Davydenko 7-5, 6-3 after being 3-0 up the second. Oh well, its fine by me :)
