what a player and a man. he was injury ravaged by then, I don't think it would have worked out for him here either.

Strange comments suggesting that all would have been OK with his fitness if he stayed with us. He probably knows how much affection Spurs fans have for him and is playing to the crowd a bit. Superb on his day. Only managed more than 20 league games 3 times in his whole career though. It's surprising he keeps getting a gig in decent leagues but nice to hear he's still playing. Will try and catch some Portuguese football after the international break!

Sad day when he left. Injuries blighted his time with us but what a player on his day. The place will always go nuts if he turns up such is the affection we have for him.

"Sandro's not getting picked is because he's not good enough". Tim Sherwood, Dufus in Chief.

The Sandro I remember did give a hoot when donning those cleats for the club. Great attitude when fit - I'll certainly miss him!

Wow, Tim really said that?

I knew I disliked him, but was starting to forget why.

Yep he did... I also recall that Sandro tweeted 'LOL' in response to Sherwood's pathetic, unprofessional comments. Even if it was true (which nobody in the fanbase believed) - you just don't say shit like that in public as a club spokesperson! But I guess after engineering the AVB coup with Adebayor - undermining our own became par for the course.

His performance at home against ac Milan was monstrous. He was a wall and they just didn’t get through. He and Gallas were brilliant that night.
