Pochettino wants '10 or 15 years' at Tottenham
Joe Wright

The manager was delighted to hear Spurs chairman Daniel Levy say he wants him to stay as manager for many years

Chairman Daniel Levy was quoted as saying in a forthcoming book that he would like Pochettino to be in charge for at least another decade.

The former Argentina defender has won admirers across the continent for the way he has turned Spurs into a force to be reckoned with since taking over in 2014, while the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium has encouraged further optimism around the club's fortunes.

Speaking ahead of his side's huge Champions League clash with titleholders Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu, Pochettino said he would be delighted to stay at the club for as long as Levy wants him.

"It's up to the owner and the chairman," he told a news conference.

"I am so happy. I enjoy my time in Tottenham a lot. It's a club with a lot of potential. We are waiting for a new stadium, with new facilities, that I think will be the best in Europe. It's only a matter of time to develop to be a competitive team and try to win a trophy.

"I am happy to hear that Daniel is so kind to me, telling everyone what he expects from me. I hope to stay 10 or 15 years here. I would love to sign that contract."

Spurs head into Tuesday's clash with six points from their first two Group H games, level on points and goal difference with two-time defending champions Madrid.

IS THAT ALL?!!!
Is that from now or from when he came which means only another twelve years.
Seriously though he must be happy with us and he must surely have had discussions with the man on future plans and what the new stadium will mean for him.

I must admit to having a certain kind of manlove for Pochettino (and I'm not that way inclined...)!

I want him to stay with us 10-15 years too and I've never said that about any Spurs manager in all my 56 years of supporting the club. What he's already achieved with us is nothing short of remarkable. We don't need memories that long to remember what things were like only five years ago under AVB and Jol before him. We were a mid-table club trying desperately to get into the top four but struggling usually just outside what we considered to be an elite group. Now, we are one of them. We are highly respected both here and abroad, and are serious contenders for the Premiership title. God bless him for the job he's already done and many more years ahead, fingers crossed.

Loving having such an amazing manager who seems to be so passionate about our club. TBF though we suffered years of shite to get to this point so it was definitely due.

Pochettino is an aplha and the definition of honesty and bravery. Wouldn't want anybody as manager more than him.
