Surely this is what Mourinho keep referring to about social media behaviour etc...

I think he was going more at Pogba but it is a thinly veiled warning to Dele, I don't think Jose is against players that use social media (Lingard was one of his key players at Man Utd and he posted all the time) but it's when it becomes a distraction or when he thinks it's getting in the way of their football.

100% its yet another example.

He doesn't need the money but he's just as interested in being a poster boy as he is in becoming a top player, Jose is no mug and he realises this and is teaching him a lesson. Sort your priorities out or don't play.

Noticed in the recent Europa cup squad photos a sign . Dele is right at the back in the third row...Kane, front centre ! other stars at front .

I don't think Mourinho is aiming at anyone per se. Just that this trend he is seeing he is bringing it out and sort of making his opinion that these lifestyles are not the ones he's keen on. I think he is very knowingly amused that decent guy like Son who is not about glitz and glamour in the social media is not getting the attention he should be getting when he does all the right things on the field.

Alli's problem is that Kane has outshined him as no. 10.
Alli’s problem is that he’s fallen off a cliff and offers little to the team as a whole. Is a complete luxury player who seems to care more about his branding than his play on the pitch.

Even if he sorts his priorities out there is likely to be no future at this club for him, as he doesn't fit into the way Jose or any of the top 8 clubs want to play with a dedicated second striker. Looking at the way sides are set up possibly he would fit in at Leeds but there aren't that many options for him.

In a way he has become a victim of a successful system when he was younger which hasn't allowed him to develop his game in other areas. Some will say at 24 he is still young enough to develop his game in other areas but then comes the question has he got the appetite?

Would have thought having Dier as his best mate once would have gotten him on a proper path to football greatness and keep the rest of the distractions at bay. But judging on his recent style, outlook and swagger, guessed he has other things occupying his mind. What a waste of talent.

Has he wasted his talent or did he reach his ceiling at 20/21?

Alli's problem is that Kane has outshined him as no. 10.

This is big part of the issue for me

With two attacking wingers, Kane has effectively become a (ridiculously good) false 9. There's a lot of overlap with what was Ali's previously best role, and he's not adding enough as a deeper midfielder to justify a place.

Possibly, but he's not as good as he was then, so something's gone wrong
Well I never believed the hype in the first place when everyone else was blowing smoke up his arse. I mentioned it on this forum at the time and people can show me a two minute highlight reel of his performance at home against Real Madrid but had Jose been his manager that night he wouldn't of been on the pitch to score the first goal. The amount of times he broke the play down that night but all is forgotten because he was scoring. Soon as the goals dried up which covered over the glaring holes in his game, all of sudden everyone sees it clearly.

I can't believe why people are surprised about how this is turning out

I think it's a shame. For him but also for the club. Dele's got immense talent and can do things most others can't. That flick to create a goal while laying on the floor last season was genius and for some time he seemed to have an almost telepathic connection with Kane.

I'd love to see Alli, Bale and Son feeding off Kane as a target man.

I think if Dele wants it, he'll get his chance. The schedule is busy and will get much worse in a month, when loads of great fixtures are lined up. One of the most important aspects in that part of the team right now is to include Bale in the squad to get him up to fitness levels as soon as humanly possible. Once the required fitness levels are achieved throughout the attacking squad, there is bigger room for rotating the squad and hand Dele chances if he's up for it.
