I think he needs to be captain once Sonny leaves.

He needs to be our captain next season.
As lovely as Sonny is, he's gone missing far too much recently and we need a captain who stands up in every game.
I've never been a big fan of having a captain stuck up one end of the pitch, be it a striker of a goalie, I like my captains to be in the middle of things so would always choose a midfielder or defender.

Speaks well and is popular but in terms of captain pedigree, leading by example on the pitch, Romero was always the stand out option.

I don’t foresee any scenario where Ange effectively strips Sonny of the captaincy. I think he may find that Son spends a lot more time riding the pine next season and thus allows Romero to take the arm band but there’s no way that they’ll officially take the captaincy off Son.

Make Son club captain and give Romero the armband
