How will English teams do in the CL 2013/14?

Watching this friendly between Milan and Man City, I realised what a ridiculous squad of players Man City have. I mean seriously, you'd do well to come up with that squad playing fifa on easy mode, and they have so much depth that they can easily rotate between competitions. This is their squad:

GK: Hart, Pantilimon, Wright

DF: Nastasic, Kolarov, Kompany, Clichy, Lescott, Richards, Zabaleta

MF: Fernandinho, Barry, Navas, Milner, Nasri, Razak, Rodwell, Silva, Garcia, Sinclair, Toure

FW: Dzeko, Aguero, Jovetic, Negredo, Guidetti

Under a new manager it'll definitely be interesting to see if they can have a proper shot at the champions league this year. As for the other three clubs, I can't say I fancy them to do anything but with Chelsea and Mourinho you just never know. So what do you reckon - can any English teams actually go far this year or will be another German / Spanish duel?

Just a wild guess -

City - last 8
Chelsea - semifinals
Arsenal - last 16
United - last 16

As things currently stand, only City and Chelsea have teams that can really compete with the best in Europe.

I'd say the best 5 teams in Europe at the moment are probably Bayern, Madrid, Barcelona, Dortmund, and Juventus. I think under AVB we can move close to that category though.

It's an impressive squad but they need extra depth in defense.

Though as good as it is, it doesn't come close to the teams I just mentioned, or PSG actually. But they've certainly upgraded their manager imo.
