This annoyed me more tha it should, and it didn't matter, but TAA got booked for time wasting in injury time and the ref blow up two seconds over the minimum time alloted.
He's definitely lazy. Did you see the effort he made when Quansah dribbled past him? That's not the first time something like that has happened all season.
It's worse. Especially considering he's supposed to be fast. I would say it looks like he's running into a gale force wind anytime he does anything defenisvely, but that would imply he's actually running.
This has been Son all his career here. World Class finisher with both feet and great at timing his runs in behind. Everything else has always been poor.
For some reason though our wingers are just told to hug the line and aren't allowed to make those disagonal runs he's good at, so that takes...
Sadly he isn't good enough. Plays well once every five games or so. Isn't the first player to hit the ground running and then goes back to his true level.
You could put the best holding midfielder in the world on our system and they would fail. He's not playing well and should be dropped, but just putting another player in his place isn't going to suddenly make us good defensively.
The worrying is thing is we play the same way no matter if we play against a back four or back three, a counter attacking team or a possession based team. It looks like we do little to no work on during the week on what the opposition will/might do.
