    Jose Mourinho

Always played like this when he thinks he doesn't have enough quality in midfield. Not pretty, and not funny to watch. Football has changed, and you can't be a dominant team without agression and high block pressure for some parts of the game. Players know it and might not buy with ideas for...

    Jose Mourinho

The 2003 was one of the most interesting finals of EL (then uefa cup). Both teams played very well. The game was open and uncertain up until the end. That Porto team was very attack minded. Lost of players that went to be very well known throughout Europe.

Is VAR draining the emotion out of football?

You can't celebrate nowadays. All you need to know. VAR is good only if the ref wants to check it after talking with his team. Offside lines, guys in the tv room, that is total BS.

    Player Watch - Carlos Vinícius

Pros Good hold up play Nice vision for the pass Nice moves inside the box Good combination of power and strenght Is used to play on ball possession teams Works well on high pressing teams Cons Not top top quality Bit of a childish character Doesn't run in spaces between lines A bit wasteful...

Player Watch - Sergio Reguilón (Brentford)

The best sign of a great player is the amout of times his mates looked for his movements.

    Player Watch - Tanguy Ndombele

Keeps coming late to fill his spots defensively. Keeps forgetting his time to compensate or exchange positions. But is an amazing joy to watch on the ball. And is proving to be fast and powerful when needed.

    Jose Mourinho

Madrid dressing room and United decline might have worn him out. But he looks composed, supported and happy. Also, looks better when underdog, football wise. Good days ahead.

    Dele Alli at Everton

Still nice player/person, but not enough. Will struggle a lot playing this type of game. For him to play, it means removing Ndombele and putting Gio deeper. Best to move to different league.

    Player Watch: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Will allow the midfield to play forward because he is great at reading transitions. Also will allow the play to be mixed. Likes to put in Gio and Ndombele, and places it far wide for FB's. Very valuable player for the future.

    Player Watch - Tanguy Ndombele

Valid point. The problem is not so much tracking back. But positional defensive awareness. And the trust (manager, team mates) that he will cover his space/player/FB when required.

    Dele Alli at Everton

Sometimes it's easier for players to pretend to be lazy or pretend to not adapt to the "system" in order to protect self image and not having to deal with the really of "lack of capabilities".

Match Threads Lokomotiv Plovdiv vs Spurs - Match Thread - Europa League

It's the worse about Mourinho. Lot of good things in his work. But so much information, some much focus on not making mistakes, really takes a toll on payers heads. You need a very imposing personality just to deal with him.

    Player Watch: Davinson Sanchez

Agreed about Dier. But Sanchez requires midfield to play deeper, and is a sort of liability, because of some lapses of concentration. Can't compare, either would play better with a comanding CH, but none is really a starting eleven player.

    Nice play. Great for Ndombele.

Better CH are needed. Gio and Hojbjerg have to go too deep. Also, Gio is managing his fitness, probably a bit afraid. The fluidity of the game is starting to come. Slowly yes.

    Player Watch: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Really needs to play alone in that space. His reading of the game is going to be very useful. Imposing himself well, very promissing.
