I'm so excited, we're actually going to have Bale back ?
I'm curious though, it seems to be a 1 year loan but does it have an option to buy at the end? Or does Bale just go back to Madrid after?
JJ responded to Gards on Twitter who said:
"Lo Celso, sessegnon, dele, vertonghen, son!!! Having those players return will be huge for us and shows the strength in depth we now have. Keep Eriksen and we will be a force."
If he's still at Juve at the end of the European Transfer window and doesn't seem to be getting any game time I would be tentatively excited about a potential January deal. We didn't move for anyone else and we don't seem to be going back for Llorente so the number 9 space is still available!
Maybe there were other top clubs that were in for him that we didn't know about but as Herc mentioned a few weeks ago he had his heart set on us so it wouldn't have been worth them pursuing him :)
I dunno why, but I'm still confident this will happen. We've been negotiating all summer and since we've already agreed personal terms with GLC once that fee is finally agreed (imo Levy has no choice but to give in and give them what they want on the final day) it will all happen very quickly (y)
This is probably why we have so many conflicting reports in all the media, all of their "breaking" info is wrong and redundant by the time they even have a chance to publish it! (but they'll publish it anyway for those sweet views and clicks) :playful:
Yeah, I don't really trust them on this. Didn't Sky Sports say the same thing in regards to us getting Lo Celso? I feel like they're trying really hard to push this narrative because "it makes sense" rather than having any actual inside knowledge of what our dealings are going to look like...
While I would agree with this usually, Herc did mention that there is no way they could afford him without making major changes to a lot of contracts for their staff. Here's what he said:
Even though I don't think we will get him (as amazing as it would be!) I also don't think Man U can just...
Even if we don't really want him, us getting involved in any way might force Arsenal to up their bid and spend even more of their low budget just to get him :sneaky:
It was a response to someone saying that selling Llorente would mean we would need to find a replacement quickly. Gards response was "Who is saying one hasn’t been found already?"
I wouldn't worry too much, all parties involved seem to want the deal to happen. As was said before the only real potential problem is getting gazumped by someone else (Which is hopefully unlikely)
