VDV really doesn't rate Gimenez. Says he's only worth 5m lol.Gil being linked with Feyenoord so Money + Gil for Giminez?

Yea more of a Bentancur than a true 6 but nevertheless, would appear to have a big future ahead and further underlines the strong Scandi theme here.Mentioned him a few pages back, big talent imo. Was planning on writing an outline of him when I have the time. More of a CM then a DM but looks a really good prospect so wouldn’t be surprised in the least we are interested.
(On an aside I would probably leave transfer links out of this thread as it might get closed again. If it’s a legit link put it in the credible links thread. Only mention as it’s already happened a few times)
OK we're going to re-open this, mainly because @Ghost Hardware has put a lot of time and effort into making this thread an interesting read, even for you peasants so he at least, deserves that.
So please, fuck's sake pleeeeeease, just make everyone's life that little bit easier and don't be a festering codpiece. Leave the transfer stuff out of it.
Let's give it another go.........Thanks
I really think a good wildcard addition would be Gianluca Scamacca. Had a meh year at West Ham, but I'm back on his hype train at Atalanta:
- 18 goal involvements in 34 matches
- In Serie A - 24 matches total, 13 matches started, 13 goal involvements
- Goal involvement in Serie A every 88 minutes
- Two footed, tall, a good dribbler & fininsher
- Still young at 25
- over a tackle a match, generally works hard for the team and leads the press
I like him, he's a proper penalty box striker. His bread and butter are crosses and cutbacks, knows how to find space in the box and getting across his marker. Everyone of those attributes is a box tick for how we play. He presses well and he's also great in the air both defensively and offensively which would help with set pieces, reminds me a lot of Luca Toni in the way he plays.I really think a good wildcard addition would be Gianluca Scamacca. Good god noI still say we should have tried to loan Sancho.
Ignoring his form at united, he is the type of player we need when he plays for Dortmund.
That's exactly what we need. A finisher who knows where to be and when to get there. Saying that he's more than that. He just isn't built for charging at full tilt from his own half every time he attacks like he was expected to do under Moyes. How mobile is Scamacca? My West Ham supporting boss biggest gripe was he wasnt, just wanted to stand in the box all the time?
That sounds literally perfect for us the way Timo, Johnson and Porro send the ball across the box. We normally dont have someone in the right place. That's exactly what we need. Our number 1 striker target should be Benjamin Sesko imo. 20 years old, 6 ft 4, very quick, great control and feet for a tall guy, can score with either foot and his head. He is everything we are crying out for but isnt the finished article yet - his potential is sky high. Pretty sure he has a £43mill release clause this summer too.
I would be shocked if he isnt on our list as he is going to be top tier in a few years.
Vlahovic injury concerns a thing of the past? I haven’t watched him this yearTo me, Scamacca and Sesko are pretty similar. Might be a few differences, but you pointed out the main benefit to Sesko is that he's younger and his ceiling is higher depending on his development. I'd even add Vlahovic in there as well (except more left-footed than both) I think all three would be exciting additions at ST.
Scamacca - 25 years old, 13 league goal contributions, goal contribution every 88 minutes
Sesko - 20 years old, 11 league goal contributions, goal contribution every 107 minutes
Vlahovic - 24 years old, 19 league goal contributions, goal contribution every 101 minutes
