Asked my guy at the match last night who said he hadn't heard anything else and as far as he was concerned nothing had changed. So no updates my end unfortunately but the statement hopefully supports what I posted in here a few weeks back.

The statement does certainly seem to tie into your info. One would think that now that statement has been made Jurno’s will start digging around.

First time in my recollection they've acknowledged a point of seeking outside investment and quite how 'significant' remains to be seen.

Someone way more clued up than me will be along at some point today with a better answer, but I don't think infrastructure/tax losses are included in PSR calculations.

Sit tight, all will be explained.

It’s pretty much operating profit (£135m) which is the important figure.

The loss before tax includes depreciation and other non-football related expenses which don’t count towards PSR.

A loss doesn't equate to breaching PSR

The club is in a healthy position and if you think other clubs aren't experiencing the same geo-political factors attributing to cost increases then think again!

Sounds like the Kane transfer happened after the reporting period so that sum (or whatever calculation of installments) isn't included in the figures.

I must admit I don't understand why there is such a large difference between the operating profit and the overall loss?

Are we paying over £200 million in interest (with most of our debt being fixed at 2.79%), taxes, depreciation and amortisation? That seems to be a lot of money.

Operating profit does not include player trading and amortisation of players we’ve already bought.

Operating profit is essentially revenue minus ongoing costs (wages). £138.7m

After player trading, amortisation, interest and tax we have a loss of £86.8m, a drop of £225.5m.

It will be interesting to see the breakdown of that £225.5m between stadium costs and players transfers.

Player transfers absolutely do count towards PSR!

it would be helpful if the club published our PSR position
