We did the same work experience loan with Carey Bloedorn at Berkhampstead last season. It’s a good experience for young keepers to go out and play first team football. He’ll likely still train at Hotspur Way a few times a week and expect Spurs still paying all of his salary.
Interesting that Bloedorn went on one last season, he looks to have come on leaps and bounds this season IMHO so they obviously can be effective.

Can't say as I've seen much on him in ages - did he not progress or should we be gutted?
He didn't progress. He's a fantastically talented ball juggler and soccer skills type but his overall game has never been great. Looking amazing when you're on your own is one thing but doing it in a match situation is another.

No idea who it is, but someone in our Academy has a grandmother who's a bit of a legend on the quiet.

But the background and Tottenham connection are below:

Rose Amankwaah was once dubbed 'the fastest woman in Africa', and has been reflecting on her days representing Ghana on the track after almost 50 years of public service.

The 72-year-old is the longest-serving nurse at London's Central Middlesex Hospital, but will retire from her role as a theatre matron at the end of the month.

...

Rose has four children and 10 grandchildren - with a fair share of sporting prowess sprinkled throughout her family.

Her son Kevin recently retired as a professional footballer in the English lower leagues and is now a personal trainer.

Three of her grandchildren are also excelling in sport, with one granddaughter a member of Great Britain's gymnastics team, another part of the GB dancing group and a grandson on the books of Tottenham Hotspur's academy.

Good to see England u17's beat N Ireland 5-1 (after being 0-1) in their firstr UEFA qualfying group game. We had no Spurs players in the squad (Moore and Olusesi are injured), What did surprise me was seeing Jaden Dixon (Stoke City) playing at CB. Last season he was a Spurs U16 player and apparently was not offered a scholarship. We prefered to sign defenders Timi Adekunli and Theo Adelusi whose combined appearances for the U18's can be counted on one hand. I would love to know what happened there.

Also looking ahead to scholarship signings in the offing, as far as I know only GK Dylan Thompson (ex Norwich City) has has accepted an offer. In light of Ramell Carter joining Hull city and Rio Bromfield U16 England and Germanyinternational going to Germany, obviously decisions are being made about the current Spurs U16 players.
I am expecting to see Spurs compete more at this level (at the same quality levels as Chelsea & Man City) but my hopes are not high.
The following will have been considered for scholarships
Miracle Adewole (RB/W) (I believe he has also represented Germany)
Malachi Hardy (CB) ( Promising England U16)
Junai Byfield (CB) (England U16)
Blake Irow (GK) (England U16)
Luca Williams-Barnett (FW/W) (England U16)
Harry Byrne (MF)
Shakil Nicolaou(W)
Jamel Beggs (MF)

Others include:
Leon Myrtaj(FW) (Albania U16), Tye Fitz Hall(MF), Reiss Dennis Elliott-Paris(FW), Tynan Thompson (W/MF),
Cameron Thomas(MF) and less known Elijah Upson (CB), Ademide Akakriki and Harry Webb.
Maybe there are some of you who know more but other than links to Michael Noonan(Eire) and George Feeney(N Ireland) Spurs finding better players elsewhere (like Liverpool, Man U, Man C and Chelsea all do) there seems little news.

I don't know if Bromfield has definitely gone. Has that been confirmed?

The ones that I think that are definitely going to be offered deals are Goalkeepers Blake Irow and Dylan Thompson, Defenders Malachi Hardy, and Elijah Upson, midfielder Tye Hall, Attacking midfielders Luca Williams-Barnett, Miracle Adewole and Shakil Nicolaou and northern Irish striker George Feeney.

That's nine, ten if we include Byfield. We usually take on 12-16 lads.

The other lads who might get something are defenders Finlay Barnard and Yerime Ouattara, midfielders Tyler Tingey and Cameron Thomas, attacking midfielder Leon Myrtaj and forwards Ronny Moncur and Tynan Thompson.

From your list I think Junai Byfield, Harry Byrne, Jamel Beggs, Reiss Dennis Elliott-Paris and Ademide Akakriki are all in the year below.

The lads who have moved on in the last few months I believe are goalkeeper Micah Haley, defenders Ezra Agyekum and Harry Webb, midfielder Samal Bangura and attacking midfielder Indiana Pedder. I also need to check to see if Ronny Moncur and Tynan Thompson are still at the club. They may have moved on as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if we signed two or three players to add to this group. We're apparently very interested in signing Hertha Berlin's midfield wonderkid Boris Mamuzah Lum who's the same age as this lot.
