Basic football fans rules. Honestly, fans of all clubs around the world are really not that different. The biggest similarity is that we all think that we are better than the other.
*This does not include Liverpool fans. They are worse than everybody.

Those Villa fans claiming us as formerly of the top 6 whilst we are currently in the top 6 as we speak and them having a relegated season in the not so distant past has tickled me.
For a team who won the "Champions league" they aren't half acting like they have never been in the competition before.

The difficult thing to quantify is whether he was late because he meant to leave a bit on Bentancur, or if he was late because he is billy average.
Personally, after calming down and seeing past the rage, I dont think he did mean to injure and think he genuinely thought he could get the ball but was just slow to it.
everything, when slowed down, seems like it was intentional and extremely late but we are probably talking milliseconds in terms of how late it was.

How exactly are we rattled by them? They are the ones constantly trying to compare themselves to us and looking over their shoulder.
We are the ones that don't give a flying fuck about them. Not even on our radar, not a rival, not a serious long-term threat. They are having a great season and hats off to them. They've got a handful of really quality players. They are one of the better teams in the Prem. But on the whole, they're nothing, they've been nothing, at least nowadays.
From what I've been seeing surrounding this match, it tells you something that the fan base generally would be content with a draw or take one right now before the match started. That's because we back ourselves to perform well the rest of the season, and we have every confidence that they don't have what it takes to finish the season out. I have serious doubts they will have the legs and mentality to go toe-to-toe with us for 90'+ Sunday.

If I recall we were all over them before the Cash challenge? And Bentancur was having a good game.
I think he planned to take someone out to try and disrupt out flow, the fact it was a player who just returned from a long term injury was adding fuel to the fire. It would have been a horrible tackle on any player let alone someone who has been through a long recovery.
He is a prick, we have our prick no denying that. Lets hope we do our talking on the pitch and beat them because we are a better team than them when everyone is fit.

Ha ha, clearly do give a fuck because there's loads of posts in here based on their reactions for this game.
As for why they'd take a draw, well I'd guess, they have a points advantage right now, where a draw is no good to us.
At some point hopefully it will click that all fan bases are pretty much the same. Some rational fans and some total boneheads. Depends where you are looking for the opinions as to what proportion of which side of that fence you'll find. not going to hold my breath though.
fact is the vast majorities of all clubs fans who frequent football forums think their fans are on the whole more grounded and rational than every other clubs......... They aren't!!!!

I remember around the time we last played them, seeing people say that he has caused a serious injury to three players in the seven times he’s played us - Doherty, Bentancur, and can’t remember the other one.
Thats a rate we would call statistically significant. Either he’s the worst tackler around and a danger to fellow professionals through lack of control or he’s going out to deliberatEly hurt opposition players and injure them badly in the process.
I seem to recall in the Doherty game at Villa Park there were a number of horrific OTT challenges by several of their players. Ashley Young very nearly “did” Harry in the final few minutes. It felt like they were instructed to go in really hard…..”let em know yer there” type of 1980s bullshit
All that being said, a player like Cash who seems to have such a casual disregard for the welfare his fellow professionals will one day be on the receiving end of his own treatment. He will get no sympathy from me….or Doherty or Bentancur.

I don't tend to care too much about opposition fans aside from a few. City fans because they are deluded and think that being bankrolled by a state has nothing to do with their success. Man UTD fans because of the entitlement (becoming less of a problem every year). LiVARpool fans because they gloss over every bad decision that goes their way yet scream like babies whenever a decision goes against them. Arsenal fans because of their arrogance. West Ham fans because they are both online and in the real world the mouthiest bunch of fans I've come across.

They're calling it a cup final because of it's significance to the league rather than a rivalry "cup final" kind of way. I hope.
Because if we lose we're basically consigned to fifth with little chance of either going up or down the table.
