I said it a lot whilst he was here, he just doesn’t have that “regardless of what happens here i ain’t losing tonight” dog in him.

phenomenal goalscorer but it is a definite mark against him, he needs a massive cup final performance.

Bayern were lucky to win it last year when Dortmund blew it on the last day. No such luck this time.
As for the Champ lge…no chance. Good front 4 and thats It.
Harry back in England season after next to get the record.

I said it a couple of months back. We play much better football than Bayern do and Kane would have made the record goals total playing for Ange.

After enduring Mourinho and Contes bland football, it's quite funny that after having a glimpse of Ange's style and scoring 4 goals in his last appearance for us (was it 4?), he still decided to go to Bayern under Tuchel.
All for a cheap trophy.
Yet it looks as though he's going to end up with his normal golden boot but from a much lesser league.

If he'd have stayed with us, he would've captained a young and exciting squad, enjoyed playing the game and probably finished the season with not just the golden boot but not far off the record.

Would probably have been able to end his career as a club legend with a statue and everything, famous for being a loyal one club man.
Now people will just take the piss out of his trophies, or lack of, even more.

There's no such thing as a sure fire trophy it seems and the grass isn't always greener.

I am certainly not taking any joy in it.

I want him to win it.

Thing is, Bayern will just bounce back next season so he will win something.

And a lot of people laughing at him for leaving. Were you the same people who Said you didnt blame him for wanting out? And that we were going nowhere?

I do agree about the "staying here and being a legend" part to be fair. He really could have been seen as the very best at the club and cleaned up all the records.

I was not that person.

I don’t begrudge him leaving, I just thought it was both a poor choice and a selfish choice. I get why he made it - just hope others use this as a lesson that be careful what you wish for …

I still feel we needed him to go in order for the team and whole club to grow / move on. Feel for him though, really seems to me that he believes a big name / club is required to win things. Jose, Conte, now Bayern. Wouldnt surprise me if he pushes for a move to Man Utd after next season.

Why a selfish choice?

He could have stayed, seen out his contract and gone to another premier league team like City for nothing.

If he was going to go he made a choice that got us
money without strengthening a rival.

I don't see that as a selfish choice unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by selfish.

I’ve hated Bayern since the cl final in 2012. So I take great pleasure in it tbh. Personally I thought it was the easy option for Kane and not really challenging himself. Not just because of the league but more his status at the club. It was like he needed to be the biggest fish still. Where if he had joined Madrid he’d of had others at levels above himself.

He just wanted a change . He does not owe us anything and he did enough when here.
If he would have stayed with us nothing is certain!

Why can we not just accept his decision and wish him well rather than pondering the what if!

The 4 goals u mention - pardon my ignorance though were any in the friendly?

It's a perverse humour for me but then, I do have a twisted sense of humour anyway.

I'll root for our players internationally, like Son at the Asia cup but once someone leaves us, I'm just not that fussed about them anymore.
And if they've left to "go to a bigger club to win a trophy", then fail to win a trophy at a club that normally hoover's them up, that's pretty funny to me.

Maybe I'm just a bitter old fuck?! 😬😁

Yes, the 4 goals were a friendly but that was a taster of what he could have had, if he'd have stayed.
Imagine how many goals he'd have bagged for us this season? In a team with great spirit and playing great football.

I don't wish for him to fail, far from it but I do find the way things are turning out quite funny.
I'm a Spurs fan, not a Harry fan, so I don't owe him anything either because he doesn't play for us anymore.

I think that it stems from a feeling that we loved Harry more than he loved us.

The Gary Neville interview and angling for a move to City in the summer of 2021.

Describing Spurs as 'the club I'm at now' as opposed to his boyhood club when trying to build his brand in the US.

We have loads of former players that shows us support on social media, which Harry hasn't done since he left, even when we were top of the league after 10 games.

The reason he stayed as long as he did was because he and his brother signed a 6 year deal, which they later regretted. Son signed a new contract three weeks after Nuno was appointed. The true connection with the fans lies in all the small things you do every week.
