If Ange wants him it would be disappointing to miss out, particularly to a club we should be able to easily compete with on transfers.

But if its a case that the valuation shifted then with what is already a risky transfer I could understand us backing out.

If it's not on then I hope we spend the money elsewhere this window.
Think it’s down to Nusa game time not fee imo mate.

I think Nusa’s concerns are fair. Brentford is a good move for him. Playing regularly matters most for a young player’s development (and value), and is that guaranteed at Spurs? At 18, he needs a team that will play him through rough patches in form rather than one that will bench him “to protect him.”

Handled well next season he could be a starter for us the year after as Sons successor

are you really asking us? HTF do we know?
Maybe there was some itk about what we are willing to pay or have offered. That's usually how information works.

Unlike many I don't live on this site so it's hard to keep up.

Is what it is. Let’s face it, we’ve got plenty of players across the front line that have potential. We could actually do with getting some ready made players and have a serious crack at winning titles.

He could have been a starter as soon as next season if Sonny continued to play upfront.

But it does seem like the lad has his head screwed on properly. A few years of consistent football with Brentford and he'll get the opportunity to go to one of the big boys if he develops properly.

25-30 Million seems abit much for a unproven 18 year old playing in the Belgian League. If he moves to Brentford, fair play to him he’s picking game time over a bigger club. Looking at him doesn’t look anywhere near ready to compete with Son/Werner in the premier league, he’s not exactly playing every game for Club Brugge is he.

Nusa has all of the makings of a great player - doesn’t guarantee that he will be but he has the profile and skill set that we desperately need but he’s not the only one that fits that need. We move.

I think the fact that Ange wanted him in now suggests he would indeed feature and get valuable game time.

Plenty of world class youth go to big clubs and you've seen this month with Echeverri going to City.

End of the day, Brentford agreed a fee/deal with Brugge and we (as yet) haven't or unwilling to match it - that suggests it's more pounds, shillings and pence again and not merely career development in the near future.

But gutted as our front line is our weakest area imo. Son not getting any younger, a lot of question marks over others.

Tbf our recruitment has been spot on for a couple of years. I’m not losing it if we miss out on one player.
Happened with Diaz sure it will happen in the future too.
