Calling it now, think we'll end up loaning Hojbjerg to Juventus late in the window and getting Jordan Henderson in on loan to replace him. Call me Quasimodo but I have a hunch.
If he came back to the UK it would underline how extraordinarily poorly it’s going over there. Apparently he’d face a massive tax bill if he takes up UK residency again before 2025.

That all sounds a bit silly to me. We don't need to loan someone in and loan out Hojbjerg. He isn't a great fit but we also don't desperately need to let him go either. We can wait until summer. It will be a tough month or so until Bissouma and Sarr return but then we should be good.

If Mali don't qualify for the round of 16, which is quite possible, then Bissouma should be back for the Brentford game.

Looks like the Juve option is off the table for PEH now that Henderson is going there

PEH seemed to be holding out for them or similar, even though they had no intention / ability to offer a realistic fee.

So if anything this is probably helpful to us moving him.

The player really needs regular football ahead of the Euros.

Hopefully we can get him to lower his sights to a club that doesn't expect us to give them free £20m assets and replace out of our own pocket.

Hendo Skipp and Madders for the England Euros starting line up.

Giving him a bump here, did well today as he usually does, a dependable guy

For the right team in the right system, he’s a really useful, high quality player.

I don’t think he fits our system anymore, but equally I don’t think he’s had a number of really truly bad performances for us. I think he has off games like anyone else, and I think perhaps that magnified by a.) him not fitting the system and b.) we’re now spoiled by Maddison, Bentancur etc who fit this system.

He’s capable of playing in the champions league for a decent Serie A, La Liga team…

….if one can afford him.

We have a squad full of injury and suspension prone CM’s. PEH is dependable and professional. If we can’t get another CM in this window I think we have to hold onto him until the Summer.

I've been one of PEH's defenders but i'm seeing that he's actually costing us points.

He was at fault for the second conceded goal. Not because he lost the ball but because he ambled back and didnt take up a position that he should have been in before Rashford plays his 1-2. Richarlison was running back from behind him to try and win it as he was jogging slowly. I was really annoyed by that.

I appreciate we have absences at the moment but a midfield of Bentancur, Skipp, Lo Celso and Kulusevski (Donley) should be sufficient (with Bissouma, Maddison and Sarr to return)

He was good yesterday.

Huge amount of passes. Three times more than Eriksen.
Agreed that I thought he did well yesterday, and with the previous poster who said trust we need to keep him because he’s available and professional. Ange seems to trust him too.
Re: Eriksen - he was a complete passenger yesterday. I think f365 said he completed 17 passes, with one tackle, one clearance, no blocks and no interceptions.

It seems foreign clubs have no money and quite a few PL Clubs are under FFP constraints, so I can't see him going.
Will make it hard to bring in a new midfielder.

Could well be a summer resolution I suspect. In the interim, as frustrating as he can be to some fans PEH isn’t a passenger and always trains with commitment and gives his all in games. A great pro who still has a role here if we can’t change up/upgrade this month.

Once Bissouma and Sarr return from Afcon, he's not going to be playing that much. Would be better to loan him out, even without an option/obligation, as he will be getting regular playing time to show other clubs he can still be very effective in the right system.
