Fuck me the negativity in this thread already is atrocious. Look at the fucking positives. We’re not playing fullbacks in CB. Bentancur is a creative player. Werner starting.

Lets fucking go, COYS

Just checking the consensus: we should give opportunities to our inexperienced youngsters, but they shouldn't be in the squad, because then our squad looks young and inexperienced.

I know our bench is not good but with that team and all the players who are missing I very much am liking how the squad is shaping up.

I'd have Bentancur and Skipp sitting and just let the full-backs do what they want. Hojbjerg for all his flaws can pick a pass and isn't afraid to take a shot, so he'd be further forward for me. I don't think it's as bad a midfield 3 as it looks on paper.

If its any consolation they are less than confident over on Red Cafe

Romero and Van de Ven back for Spurs as expected.

They're actually able to field a very strong team. Bentacur too.

Absolute liars spurs. Made out he was out for ages

Hmmm suddenly I'm not very confident

Kulusevski a big miss for Spurs. Not much creatively with both him and Madders missing. Going to have to come from the full backs and Bentancur.

Yeah was hoping they would be weakened to give us a chance.

That’s a fecking bang average spurs 11 especially the midfield and front 3. Honest to God if we don’t dominate and beat them then this imposter of a manager deserve to be sacked at full time.

Richardson and Werner both nailed on to score against us today.

Got a lot of creativity in the midfield, but just so weak physically and defensively. We are very lucky Son, Maddison, and Bissouma are missing. Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson are going to enjoy themselves if dear, old Marcus decides putting a shift in is not his thing once again.

I'm very happy we have our first choice defence back but as everyone else has pointed out, our bench is....yikes.

There are three teams I hate playing because no matter the fortunes of the clubs you know they can score on the counter. UTD, West Ham and Liverpool are those three and whilst the Old Trafford crowd are going to want to see them dominate the game, the coach and players know that the transitions are going to be massive for them.

And whilst I am happy we have our CB's back, I'm not sure about risking them both so soon after injury against a UTD front line that are going to be running in behind so often. We've got to really control things today.

Strongest defence, a decent attack and bentancur was cooking in midfield last season with PEH. We'll be fine.

Can go OTT I agree.

Having said that, we haven't played well with either of Hojbjerg and Skipp started so you can see the concerns.

We also have no 10.

Only Tottenham could cure the defence but then lose all creativity in the final third

Sess was still on lineup posted by Gold on the bench, injured at warm up?

So we are missing Whiteman, Sessegnon, Davies, Bissouma, Sarr, Lo Celso, Maddison, Kulusevski, Son, Solomon, Perisic, Veliz, Scarlett?

Would say as long as Sess injury isn’t hamstring, it’s not a concern. He will pick up niggles coming back from such a long lay off.

Yup. You can understand people’s reactions though - we’re still a long way from our first XI and the MF looks weak
