It's a bit like when Dawson left. I like him and he's always been professional but it's time to move on. Good luck to him.

This is what the painful rebuild was about though. Losing great servants of the club and moving on. Not an easy thing to do but necessary. We just took too long doing it.

Great deal for everyone. All the best Eric.

That Munich hotel must be rubbing their hands together after losing Kane, another tenant incoming.

Good move all round. Also removed that quirk of having an England international who took a non domestic/home grown slot.

thanks Eric and all the best!

Are their CBs injured? Ie any imminent opportunity for him to having playing time?
Kim min jae is at Asia Cup and they have 7 or so games until that's finished if s Korea go all the way. De ligt is out of favour with tuchel but probably still ahead of dier. They have upamacano too who will certainly start.

There were talks from florian five head that Tuchel may play him in centre mid too. I guess short term DM cover until they can get palinha (or similar) in the summer

Happy for him to get this move. In hindsight we really should have sold him for £40/50m when Mourinho wanted him at United. However, he has been a great servant for the club and you could never question his commitment to the cause.

I don't know what's wilder.

That he's going to Bayern, that we're getting money for him, or that we signed Bayern's first choice to allow this to even happen.

We’ve done it before.

Yeah but he's a model professional and it's not like Bayern are skint.

If we couldn't agree a fee with Bayern it would be only right we allow him to honour his contract until the summer. I'm not one of those who wanna shit on loyal servants because they are not flavour of the month.
