Pav.

Purely for some of the surrealness, the goals, the shots into orbit, and that great quote from Harry.

You don't even have to sign to become minor cult figure (Kevin Bo at the time, to lesser extent Bakari, clumsiest striker on planet)

David Howells
I went to school with Howells and played in the school team a few times with him. He's 2 years younger than me but we managed to get him to play when I was in the 6th form team. I didn't get to know him though apart from having him play with us a few times. I don't know why he didn't play all the time as he could run rings around us. Maybe Spurs wouldn't allow it?

Everyone knew he was on the books at Spurs and he was clearly very talented but I left school thinking he'd probably not be lucky enough to make it. Glad I was proved wrong! Last I heard he still lives in the Guildford area (that's where we went to school) and is a PE teacher at Charterhouse school in Godalming.

Funnily enough I scored 4 times against Charterhouse in a game, can't remember if David was playing that day. They were crap at football, hopefully they've improved since he's been there!

I loved (and still do, with no apology for it) -

Justin Edinburgh
John Lacy
Neil McNab

and the great player that would have been Danny Thomas.
