I don't think I've ever seen a driver jump into the team to celebrate and actually clear the barrier before 😂

Much as I'd love that to be true, he's been here long enough by now to know he can't be relied on for fitness. I don't recall him getting many injuries in games, so if he's been picking up injuries in training instead that's not a good sign

May as well, Emerson really struggles there especially if he's not getting help from left mid/forward

Surprisingly good at left back, thought he did well when he came on too

Maybe, but we clearly can't rely on him to be fit regularly. It's such a shame he's injury prone as we'll never know what he could have been like with a consistent run of games. If he was as good as some of his cameos he'd fit right in.

Looked better the last 15-20 minutes, bloody woeful up till then though. I know we've got a terrible record at Anfield, and I never expect us to get a result, but we could at least put in a proper performance. It's a shame we've got a few players who just aren't up to playing consistently...

Oh we'll certainly get something - likely an absolute pasting. We've got a terrible record at Anfield at the best of times, I'm really not looking forward to watching the game.

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

That was a good watch - can't fault his honesty at all, sounds committed to trying to take the team forwards as well.

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

Yeah I'm hoping the same isn't repeated here. Frankly any player who doesn't listen to what the manager wants - whoever that manager is - can GTFO. On the other hand, I'd also like to see Ange just admit we've got a set piece problem, and say he's going to do something about it.

    Manager Watch: Ange Postecoglou

Ange seemed absolutely fuming in his interview - got the impression he's fed up with the players not listening to what he wants them to do. Sounds like about the last however many managers we've had, they've all ended up saying that in pressers, or we've heard it filtering through here from...

Not seen him so far, just a Chelsea player and Poch. Was an odd interview for sure, given they've been doing better recently you'd think he'd be feeling more secure

I just don't get the stubbornness. You don't have to bin your style and system to tighten up on defending set pieces, it's a pretty specific aspect of the game.

So whoever that was from Chelsea being interviewed confirmed they looked to exploit issues in our defending of set pieces. If Ange continues to deny that's a problem, we're going to continue be in the shit.

Well that was...terrible. Also assuming Ange gets asked about set pieces again in the presser, I really, really don't want to hear 'nah it's fine' as it's just not washing at this point. That's another 2 tonight, it's got to be fixed.
