As much as it feels necessary to finish about teams like Aston Villa and hoover up all the money. I would probably prefer an exciting EL campaign than a couple of high profile CL ties where we lose out against Real or Bayern.

This is such a good point. Early in the season, Bissouma was possibly the best midfielder in the league, Maddison was the best attacking midfielder. I can't see how it is our tactics or being 'found out' that has made them decline. The more obvious answer is the injuries/suspension/ACN...

I think, as well, that we got so much pulicity earlier on, teams started to really look at us and think about how to play us and even, to some extent raise their game.
