    I think he will actually start next season on the hot seat. (Rightly or wrongly) he wasn’t the first, 2nd or even 3rd choice for the majority of fans I’d guess? For all the claims of “I don’t care where we finish, I just want to see attacking football” the reality is, WINNING is what matters.

    I’d say Maddison’s post injury form has been the biggest problem in terms of our attack. he went from ‘signing of the season’ to virtually zero production. with that said, we still score 2 goals most games. In no way should Ange be worried about his job. do sometimes wonder if it will work out...

    Villa/Emery have definitely found a formula and have the quality to get the better of Ange’s tactics. Ange wont alter his tactics, but can he find an answer to this puzzle? Surely right now, Villa are more likely to get the breakthrough.

    I thought that the idea was to have wide forwards isolated out wide vs the oppo’s full backs Unfortunately our wide forwards aren’t really dribbly types. plenty of talent in midfield for us, but doesn’t seem to be able to create or dictate tempo right now.
