It goes without saying how bad that first half was, but I’m really disappointed we’ve not allowed the fans to sit in a position that can be seen on screen. Watching this match and hearing fans but only seeing sponsors sort of sums up our owners currently.
Not even make them sweat when defending a 1-0 lead in a final is criminal. Most teams would at least have that ‘one’ chance - we didn’t even come close to a sniff of doing that. How underwhelming.
Losing so many points from winning positions and not being able to come from behind to win, is for me the definition of a team disengaged with their manager. The quality in the squad will result in taking the lead, the lack of direction thereafter is the direct result of bad management and tactics.
I wonder if the fact we may be clearing out some of the ‘bad eggs’ a couple of which are English and homegrown, means that a move for Ings would be more likely, if only to fulfil the homegrown quota?
