I just watch the highlight and I have no idea what Brighton CBs are doing in our winning goal
Admiring Son’s beautiful cross?I just watch the highlight and I have no idea what Brighton CBs are doing in our winning goal
But those were the subs everyone was crying out for at HT.Sometimes you have to.
Cant complain.
However, I hope Ange never makes subs like that again, we had finally for control of it and those subs took it away.
Probably knackered after working their socks off for 95 minutes. But in this league one moment and one lapse in concentration can make the difference.I just watch the highlight and I have no idea what Brighton CBs are doing in our winning goal
That’s not quite right. They had at least 2 chances in that 2nd half where they should have scored.Sounds about right they weren't a threat.

Doesn’t sound like you had a good day as nearly everybody was a disappointment to you.View from the south stand:
- One of our worst team performances in ages, no energy at all
- Movement was non-existent at times and gave us little option on the ball
- VDV is class and saved us from a hammering
- The whole team hates Werner. He had so much space and clearly the beating of his man. So many times the ball over the top pass was on to him and we didn’t do it. It was so obvious and so frustrating.
- Worst game from Maddison in a Spurs shirt and almost as bad from Bentancur.
- PEH came on and almost cost us several times
- Johnson was poor/weak but took his chance well
- Sonny was a different class and we immediately looked a better team with him on
- Udogie was injured, hence the sub was changed last second (Skipp was coming on but swapped for Ben Davies)
- Their time wasting was ridiculous and they got what they deserved from it
I’m not saying they never can but at the moment they can’t. They both end up on each other’s toes. I think Bentancur is brilliant but if Maddison is going to be first choice then the best balance is Biss, Sarr and Maddison. For me, of course - you obviously disagreeWay too early too conclude that. Bents is still working his way back into form, it’s not a fit with Maddison issue just a he isn’t at his best issue
Was the consensus on here really that different? We were poor. I thought far poorer than the other home games this season where we lost.Doesn’t sound like you had a good day as nearly everybody was a disappointment to you.
Have to admit that it is an entirely different perspective watching a game at the stadium as opposed to the TV.Was the consensus on here really that different? We were poor. I thought far poorer than the other home games this season where we lost.
Don't get me wrong, I was definitely na-na-na-naing after the final whistle but we didn't play well at all.
I don't think we were great by any means, but I don't think we were poor either. Somewhere in the middle. Was the consensus on here really that different? We were poor. I thought far poorer than the other home games this season where we lost.

There was a shot from the right side of the area that went just past the post but it may have been offside (?).I know there was the Fati chance, what was the other? Genuinely can't remember.

I was thinking that Son would have been great to bring on at CF with Werner cutting inside and Son peeling off as there was space was in behind.Only caught the second half. Some recurring themes from this season - a little too lax with possession when a player is facing our own goal, struggle to break down low block teams, very good when there is space in behind the back line and we exploit with quick interplay on the break to exploit.
A couple of players look like they need a little break/refocus. I do think we lack clear, quick thinking in the final third when we are not playing the ball into space - too many crosses hit the first man, not enough give and gos, and I think Werner showed he is useful but Son just looked so much more lethal with his intent, glad to have him back
Yeah it always annoys me when defenders stick their hands up rather than actually trying to win the ball back.FUN FACT:
Watch Estupinan on the winning goal -- he intentionally holds up to try to catch Sonny offside, turns to look at the linesman to raise his hand, realizes it's too late, and then is inches from intercepting the pass.
If he'd *just played the ball*, he would've been there in time and snuffed out the goal.
HA HA HA HA
We seem to have spells.I don't think we were great by any means, but I don't think we were poor either. Somewhere in the middle.
