What I cannot understand is to have Sanchez in the defence when Porro is given a game. I have no idea if Porro will turn out to be okay, but in the other game he played Tanganga was playing alongside him. It just seems so amateurish to put a new fella in and not provide him with the support of our best defender in Romero.
To be fair Romero was suspended vs Leicester. I could understand why we rested him yesterday too with his injury record. Although thought he should have come on with Kane for 30 mins.

This is why I just don’t understand people judging PP after 2 games, when he’s been paired with those 2 ??‍♀️

Man, what happened to this guy? I remember the game we beat Chelsea 3-1 at the bridge where he played in a 2 next to Vertonghen and he was incredible.

Was fantastic against Real Madrid in champions league... now he's horrible.
He strikes me as a player who is far too in his own head.

If you compare his body language with that of Romero it's night and day. He's always shaking his head and berating himself after every mistake and just seems in a constant state of doubt, whereas Romero is like a shark - he never ever wavers or loses confidence in himself after making an error.

When Sanchez gets his tail up and plays with confidence he's a much, much better player. He's actually surprisingly skilful and starts pulling off some decent passes, but all it takes is one error and he's Bambi on ice again slipping over and misjudging easy headers.

Like Sessegnon if he could get just over himself he'd probably be a very decent player but I think it's been clear for about 5 years that he's never going to fulfil his potential and it's wild that he's still at the club. Top bloke but easily one of our most misjudged signings of the past 10 years.

I think oppositions have worked out that physically he's not up for the battle. He will do fine on the continent.

Yeah I think he's someone that might do well given a fresh start in a less physical league. He's got too much baggage at Spurs now - needs to go ASAP.

I don't see it as his fault as he should have been shipped out ages ago. It's crazy that he is still here and able to start

I'm still amazed that a "Footballer" can be so bad with the ball.

Probably would do ok against lesser players as a body to get in their way.

Also never seen player be able to just fall over at any moment. It's quite impressive.

Popped up on my Apple News feed. I can’t lie, the headline did make me laugh.

With games week to week now broadly with exception of CL, he may well have played his last game for us.

Too many of our players have that crisis of confidence. Need to have more confident leaders out there not players self absorbed in doubt.

This is spot on for me. Use Sanchez as a stick to beat the board with. Don't beat him up.

Problem is beating Sanchez is the only way to make the board aware of it. Everyone is just happy to have him around if not. Sanchez is happy being a squad player, getting paid good money and living in London, getting his fitness done at world class facilities. Decisions need to be made for him, should have been done long time ago, and now the fans are the ones that are forced to let people know. It's a sign of how poorly run we are. But fans are at their limit.

While he is nowhere near good enough, the way our fans vilified him today is not acceptable.

If Conte and his even shitter copycat had a brain and the balls to change formation (before it’s too late), he would never have been on the pitch.

I feel extremely sorry for him as a person and it’s a shame this will probably be his last ever appearance.

Our managers and chairman are at fault for this clusterfuck of allowing a situation turn so poisonous.

Sad way for him to go out today. Had a woeful game (pretty much why we lost from a position of total control) and is on the list of players that need to be sold, but just on a human level you feel for him, and that was really really poor from the supporters.

I know our match going fans feel that the money they spend entitles them to boo our own players, but personally I think they'd be better off selling their tickets and taking up a new hobby.

He's not been great and typifies our transfer business these last few years, but going after him or any of our players is shit.
