"Until now I try to hide the situation but not now because, I repeat, I don't want to see what I have seen today because this is unacceptable and also unacceptable for the fans."
What about last week when it was the fans fault for being impatient? He's deflecting blame onto everyone but himself.

I've already said my piece on that already. I don't think they understand elite managers require elite players. It's my view Levy and the rest of the anthill mob were hoping an elite manager would get more out of the deadwood and journeymen and they can't.

Levy logic..... spend 15 mil a season on a manager spend half the required amount on the squad.
We've spent a lot of money, although our recruitment has often been poor and ill thought out. But it's wrong and unprofessional of Conte not to play Danjuma or Spence just to make a point. He needed to make better use of the resources available to him, and earn his £15 mil a year, rather than wingeing. I'm sure he wanted Bastoni and Zaniolo or whoever, but they weren't available, and that happens to all managers.

There's lots of reasons for this, coaches like to have moldable players.

Top coaches have moldable players but the system or man management can get that extra 10%, pep would struggle at a low level team as his way of coaching is so micro managing the players at the level would switch off or he would get frustrated at them not being able to do what he requires.

It's why I think these new generation coaches like potter who believe in repetition training are so clever and the way go in the future they think activating the bodies muscle memory and REM memory I think it is called where even under duress you can still carry out simple instructions and quick speed, it's why I don't think De Zerbi at Brighton is that good he's living off a bit of potters work but he's added a little tweak.

These managers can improve players at any level, I sag this as I know people who've worked with potter and are now involved in some circles I'm involved in and use some of his methods it's super repeitive but it trains the mind so well, I've watched a young boy come on leaps under this style of coaching where he carries out the same run pass and turn then they keep doing it until it's game specific adding stages and it's insane to watch the change, as then no matter what level the player is playing at he's able to just do what he needs to do at high level every time as it's natural after about 12-14 months one great we example of this kind of player is Pascal Gross not a stand out player but potters methods brought him on 30% same with Trossard now Arteta has added 5% more.
Good info, interesting. I play guitar and have a similar thing: when I first learn a song or melody it takes a while playing slowly and building up. After a lot of repetition your fingers just do it without conscious effort and you can play with your eyes closed.

I assumed this sort of muscle memory training was what Conte was doing with his "machinations", but maybe this is different.

There are a number of patsies currently out of work mate, don't worry about dear old Daniel.
What worries me is we get another nice guy like Nuno who is just happy to be here or we someone who plays into the mentality of aww bless the poor little players on 90k a week.

Least at the moment Conte is on nuclear mode and it may wake some people write the season off the and let him do the damage needed so this club can pick itself up and sort itself out whether that is with a new board or changes in general.

Isn’t he just corroborating them? Saying the usual bollocks about working harder etc. we’ve heard it all before.

lol honestly so sick of hearing that scripted bollocks after every bad defeat. Infuriating hearing it so much over the last few years. Club has their eyes shut and fingers in their ears if they actually think some of these players are actually good enough to be starting for us.

This is elite level football, there's no hiding place..... if you're not good enough you will get found out and too many of them were found out years ago but they still linger around and get backed in some quarters because they are 'nice guys, club/team men or have a good attitude'....who gives a shit If it's been clear for years they are not up to it in terms of ability. They can be nice guys at Everton or Fulham and go be nice to the tea lady over there.

He's not on our side, he doesn't give a shit.
It doesn't matter if he's on our side. He's got a big enough ego for us to know that he wants to win. So that means all he cares about is winning. That for me is good enough.

I'm glad he said this. The players always get off without any blame despite being paid millions. Their job is to follow instructions and run. It's not complicated.

Anyone who is going to tell me that it's his job to motivate them needs their head examined. They are paid millions and somehow he's got to inspire them?? If I had an employee tell me they needed me to inspire or motivate them when we started a new project I'd telling to start looking for a new job. We, in the UK, seem to put so much responsibility on the managers head, and if it's not the manager it must be the board. When do the players take blame.

We've got Harry fucking Kane, the best forward in the world right now. Son, the best Asian player of all time. Captain of world cup winning France, a serie A defender of the year, an African Nations cup winner, and somehow with Spurs they always come up short. The mentality of some at the club is weak and contagious

If Poch was saying this after 5 years of zero backing, I’d be completely understanding and sympathetic. Conte has absolutely no right to be saying what he is saying.
Yes and no for me.

On one hand he's been backed better than any recent manager and its unacceptable to belittle the club as he is and in my opinion he needs to accept some blame and be sacked tonight.

On the other hand he's saying a lot of the things that supporters have been thinking.

Personal opinion is that I'd replace him now which is a pity as I was a big fan but it's toxic now and he's following the same patterns he has at other clubs.

He's actually right though
He may well be, but it’s extremely unprofessional airing your dirty linen in public.

His primary objective is to absolve himself of any blame.

I definitely think he’s trying to get put on gardening leave.

Conte said it is time for the club and players to start taking responsibility.

"Not only the club, the manager and the staff. The players have to be involved in this situation because it is time to change this situation if Tottenham want to change," he said.

but think logically why would he care about 3 months pay? He's rich.

maybe he's just saying it how it is because he actually wants to win. We are so used to losers at this club that when someone points out what winning takes we can't even recognise it.

I'm not absolving him of blame but these conspiracy theories about gardening leave etc are nonsense imo

Wouldn’t surprise me if he gets sacked tonight not because of results but just in case this is the start of him really losing it in press conferences. The board won’t want to be called out publicly and criticised. They’ll give it to Mason who won’t say anything and then employ an attacking manager in the summer to distract everyone. Then we’ll do all this again in 24 months.

Also hearing. Gazza has turned up at the ground. Looking for his pal moaty. 2 Gregg’s pasties and a bottle of limoncello 😂

Past caring mate. I'll only be saying the same things in 12 months. Until some of you wake up and realise it doesn't matter who the manager is, we will keep going round in circles.
We do realise have you not read the Levy thread? Really no need for such condescension
