Just when I'm trying to feel indifferent to the club, this fucking club has a way to fuck you up even worse. Is really my karma to be under so much frustration from this club.

A disappointing result given we were 3-1 up, but let’s be honest, we have been very poor away from home this year. I know lot of us will want to vent but neither the draw nor the performance come as any shock.

If you put 3 thunderbirds figures out on the pitch i think they’d all move more gracefully. Absolutely wooden players and saying they are average is a compliment to them, the truth is they fucking suck most of the time
I think we'd Perisic may have been a good depth option but as an attacking player with a lot of energy around him. Like how he plays for Croatia.

But we already have too many cloggers in the team who lack technical ability or agility or both

Conte's gotta go. Regardless of the ref's decisions, that approach was dreadful. Conceding that much of the ball to a team who are bottom of the league and averaging less than a goal a game is shocking

I had the game on mute, was genuinely shocked by the pen decision. Didn't even realise for a minute that a pen was given.

Ultimately we can only look at ourselves but still, that decision was incredibly soft.
The penalty was "won". One of those decisions that if the player doesn't go down, the ref never gives it and VAR would never even look at it. But because the player goes down and stays down it gives the ref a chance to make a decision. Once he'd pointed to the spot VAR was never overturning it.

Doubt its a pen in the first minute of the game, but because they're losing in the last minute they're looking for any decision that could go their way.

Im not one for for conspiracies, but there is no way that VAR gives that usually. I think the Premier league like the narrative and drama of a bottom team getting a last minute penalty to come from behind to get a point. It's an entertainment industry after all...

Even so, we shouldn't have even been in a position for that scenario to occur.

The mentality of this team is as bad as it’s ever been. We spend most of the match just trying to manage the game by keeping a tight defensive unit and only ever give it our all for short bursts, normally when we’re chasing the game, because our cowardly tactics haven’t worked. The best teams play at 100% from kick off and keep going until they are comfortably in front, then they’ll manage the game by keeping the ball.

How can you lose a 2 goal lead against bottom of the table Southampton with 10 minutes left to play. We should have had them chasing shadows. Pathetic.

You have to understand, we are not Southampton. They finished midtable last season. We were lucky to be level at 90 minutes because Tottenham are not so big. The fans have to be patient. It was important that we camped 11 players behind the ball because Southampton are very clinical in offensive situations. They have three, four, five forwards who score two or more goals a season. You have to understand this. We played a good game.
No doubt followed later at the press conference with some more

“the fans need to be patient with me, I know how to win and have told the club this, we are still top four, and for this shitty little club that I’m slumming it at, that’s like winning the league. The fans should be happy, we are not there yet, we need to fight for every point like we did today, im proud of the players, they were very brave and played till the last minute… it is games like this that show you we have to suffer, the players have to suffer… we are lucky to be where we are, almost as lucky as this club is to have me.”

We need to win nearly all our final ten games to make top four.
If we can't beat the bottom club then we have to come to accept that we just ain't good enough to get top four. I do believe injuries have crippled us this season but that's done now and we have to deal with what we've got so if our manager is not staying beyond the end of the season he ought to go now because we obviously have nothing to lose and might as well make a change, if not to a new manager right away then at least a change of style, you never know what might happen.

All of this is correct, and adds to the argument to sack Conte asap. We ain’t getting better between now and May with him in charge.
