The long overdue stadium naming rights deal would surpass the profits of any new infrastructure projects. If he gets that deal wrapped up, maybe then people will be less critical of other things being worked on in the background.I think we overlook certain things as our focus is on football. By expanding "Tottenham Hotspur PLC" with properties etc, we not only have an opportunity to gain from any profit or income they generate, but also the size of the organisation that our club is a part of.
The football side of running a football club is now just one department of many and for the club to be able to succeed it needs to be a big presence on and off the pitch. Being part of the catering and hospitality side of things probably gives ENIC access to waaay more shoulders to rub up against than most other sectors, and it does rather compliment the football side of things, potentially able to offer premium match day'hotel stay packages etc.
I dunno, this sort of thing goes over my head, but we have to consider the bigger picture with this sort of project, and be confident that Levy won't jeopardise the club spunking cash on frivolous things, he's really, really not that sort of chap and we all know it.
