Watching the first 20mins of Bayern and Barcelona, we really don’t belong in this competition comparatively right now. The energy levels and technical ability compared to what we’re showing right now is embarrassing. We’ve got some really good attackers and I’d say one quality defender but we’re so far off these two. We barely string a move together, these sides are doing it every couple of minutes.

Our performances away from home in Europe have been dreadful for a long time. Thought Kane was especially poor tonight - lots of underhit passes and felt like he lost the ball more times than he found a teammate. Hopefully it gives them all a kick up the arse as the run of fixtures ahead are daunting to say the least.

One of which was Paulinho who at 6'2 scored their first with a more or less unchallenged flick from a corner following a fantastic save by Lloris in the 90th minute which under normal circumstances would have given us a point.
I think there were 5/6 players in our defence who were not quite expecting the corner to be be delivered.

I get your point, but you would expect they will have 11 men behind the ball if your keeper hast it....
It's from CM when we pass it back and forth and then back to the fullbacks (who sit too deep) or cb's.
Gives the other team all the time they need to get back

He has praised Skipp a lot pre injury, and Doherty was playing Infront of Emerson last season.
That's 2 players he is hardly using at the moment

I was being quite general but I guess I mean not starting fast and looking to kill teams.
He's being relatively pragmatic and happy for us to reserve energy at times.
As the season goes on he'll want more and certain players won't be getting numerous chances.

I do agree Bissouma needs to see more minutes but can fully appreciate at 0-0 and the biggest issue being our lack of efficiency in attack, it wasn't the sub to make.
If Bissouma is still not being trusted in January I'll start to worry.
