Many will believe Richarlison must have an effect on Edouard Mendy's decision making, but the Chelsea goalkeeper had a clear sight of the ball when it is struck by Hojbjerg. This is the only moment that counts for line of vision as it sets the offside phase

From this point on, Richarlison can only be considered to have impacted Mendy if he makes an obvious movement either towards the ball or that might impact the goalkeeper. The mere act of being stood in an offside position doesn't mean a player has committed an offside offence. It's one of the intricacies of offside that confuses many fans and players.

Lovely stuff, absolutely delighted with the manner in which we have robbed them of victory.

Despicable club propelled to success with dirty Russian money, they deserve each and every ounce of bad luck and shit coming their way.

I think the goal was correctly allowed, but this doesn’t prove it. He can see the ball when it’s struck but after it’s travelled about a yard he would be unsighted (ie when you as a keeper are trying to pick up the direction. Koubaily was blocking him by this point though
I would've thought it's going to be when the ball is played/kicked which as you say he can see.

The one Tweet that stuck out for me last night was the Arsenal fan who showed the pic of Bissouma celebrating and waving in front of the fans.
.
The usual how can you be celebrating like that for a draw ?
Then he was ripped to pieces by fans telling him they celebrating like loons when they drew 2-2 with Palace and also how they congratulated and convinced themselves they were the better team against City when they lost
They always say shit like that when they've got no other comeback. It you don't care enough to go mental when you've rescued a draw from a losing position why are they following football?

If any of those fans who question why we celebrated yesterday listen to how sore all the Chelsea fans are coming across on today’s phone ins and social media, they ought to realise that that’s why we celebrate stealing an undeserved point away at a fierce rival.

And oh my are they sore today. Fantastic.

Tuchel's comments about the referee yesterday were embarrassing. I can't bear all this 'agenda' bollocks.

Hand ball and/or offside.

Ball bounced around and hit someone's arm from close range (won't be given) and Richarlison standing offside (not making any attempt to play the ball)
There was no handball and if anything Koulibaly is blocking the line of sight more than Richarlison. Mendy sees the ball on the left side of Richarlison and as the shot goes to his right it nicks off the Chelsea defender. If he was that upset he'd have claimed it immediately to the ref. I don't remember him being vocal.

Jorginho goes up to the ref claiming hand ball.
Nothing wrong with either goal, just takes what they are claiming

Lovely stuff. There’s something very satisfying about racists getting their comeuppance. The worst aspects of social media being absolutely destroyed by what makes the internet so great.

So, I got contacted by this guys university and they want to discuss this with me. I already told them that I don't really have a lot to add and I wasn't needing to 'talk it through' and already gave them the link. They still want to discuss it.

I'll jump on a call I guess.

Fucking hell, seriously.

I had a problem before with people referring to Chelsea fans as racist after the Sterling/Terry incidents - but in light of this result there is clearly something rotten with that fanbase. I know Twitter is a shit heap, but It's still been a long time since I've seen this level of vile vitriol.

I do find it amusing how Chelsea fans are laughing at our over celebration, and yet completely ignoring that Tuchel went full Forrest Gump after their second.

It got a like as well. Some seriously messed up people out there who can't take football results. My dad and brother are Chelsea and they are nothing like this. Would love to say those quoted are the minority, but it seems as though my dad and brother are.

Self-awareness, modern football fans and social media. 3 things that do not go together.

The Chelsea Headhunters are a notorious English football hooligan firm linked to the London football club Chelsea.

Background[edit]

There is widespread racism amongst the gang and links to various white supremacist organisations, such as Combat 18 and the National Front. The gang also became affiliated with Northern Irish loyalist paramilitary organisations, such as the Ulster Defence Association and Ulster Volunteer Force.[1]

Damn, that tweet led me to more Chelsea tweets. We f'ing ruined them yesterday.

Something seems to have genuinely snapped in them. Unhinged reaction.
