Like others have said I prefer Maddison, but I’m not sure how easy it would be to strike a deal with Leicester.

if this signing has any possibility of including N’Dombele then we have to explore it, anything to get him of the books.

According to multiple reports in Italy, Roma are fed up with Nicolò Zaniolo and will listen to offers for the Italy international during the summer.

Zaniolo had highs and lows during his first season under José Mourinho. The 22-year-old scored only two goals in Serie A but was decisive in their Conference League campaign, where he netted a hat-trick in the quarter-finals second leg against Bodo/Glimt and the winner in the Final against Feyenoord.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport have very similar reports this morning. Both papers quote sources from the club claiming that Roma are fed up with the player due to the many transfer rumours which, according to the club, are fabricated by the player’s entourage.

Roma maintain that they are in no rush to extend his contract and will decide when to sit down with the player’s agent Claudio Vigorelli.

On the other hand, the player’s entourage highlights how Nicolò was promised a contract extension in January but never received an offer.

There is tension between the two parties, with Corriere dello Sport claiming that Zaniolo is disappointed as he knows Roma will listen to offers for him.

The Giallorossi are open to selling the Italy international even on loan, with an obligation to buy. Mourinho would like to find a solution before the start of the summer training retreat, but it won’t be easy given that no club seems willing to match Roma’s €60m asking price at the moment.

From watching some youtube vids, he does have that Dembele shuffle/drive, could see him working in a 352
Interesting. Because Deki has that in spades. Maybe Conte just wants a load of ****s that fuck opponents off the ball with their body and then drive at them?

It is annoying me how often the ‘conte wants him so he must be good’ or ‘nobody wanted kulusevski and bentancur and look how they’ve turned out’ lines are being trotted out in this thread. People are allowed to think Zaniolo would be a bad signing without being met by a mass of Conte/Paratici apologists. Both of them have made massive blunders squad building in the past and will make more in the future. As far as I’m concerned, Zaniolo would be a pretty terrible signing and a super disappointing end to the window. Maddison is 5x better.

Or… there’s a deal to be done with ndombers and that’s the real reason this is happening…? (ITK thread). Helping each other out?

Unlocked; let's maybe try and be a bit constructive.

I literally know no things about this guy. No things. I will watch a YouTube video of him and then want him.

That's how this forum works for me: watch the video; want them.

I, too, usually want someone after watching a video of them :cautious:

Af$%ingmen..... this drives me insane as well. Worse is this chap is not close to Kulusevski in ability and would cost double what we paid.

I'm not overly convinced by this chap like. Reminds me a bit of Lamela with his running technique aswell, awkward.

Gott in Himmel. That's a lot of potatoes. So it's not like he'd even be a cheap and cheerful alternative to Maddison.

I’m sure they would be happy to sell, his relationship with Jose is strained at best. There was a point after a clubbing incident (posted below) that Jose really wanted shot of him but they obviously patched things up to a workable relationship by the end of the season. Really tho they did just get Dybala who is a big upgrade on Zaniolo and considering Jose has other positions he wants filling it’s been pretty much certain Zaniolo would leave this summer, it’s deemed as the best thing for the club and the player.

Wouldn’t come in and be a first team player but he could be one of those players that could explode! Great potential despite poor performances and injury. As he won’t be a starter and it would be difficult to improve on our front 3 this is a risk worth taking. Also can play Am which we don’t really have much of in the squad but again isn’t a critical position. Loan with option would be ideal.

Why are people bringing Lamela up as a negative point?

Lamela was a bloody good player to have around and when he was fit had some superb performances, scoring important goals.

So you’re annoyed by people saying that, which generally, is in response to people saying what you’re trotting out.
You get annoyed, they get annoyed.

Yeah but not for the money quoted for Zaniolo - there’s a large opportunity cost
