My worst nightmare is being eaten alive by a swarm of enraged giant locusts, but each to their ownMy worst nightmare dier, dohery and winks in same team....no thanks ?
With how low our win probability is vs City I'd prefer to just send out a weaker team there. Don't want to give them more fuel for the EFL Cup final either. At best I think we can get a draw there. 1 pt vs 0 pts isn't a huge deal, making the next round of the FA Cup vs not making the next round however, is.
So I'd hope for a strong team here.
Sure, but it's not overly likely as everyone knows, and my point is if we have to keep player fitness in mind and expect squad rotation then I think the +EV move is to focus more on the Everton match. If we can play our strongest 11 3 times in a week and then have a Europa League/Premier League double gameweek after that w/ 0 repercussions, then sure, let's go for it.That's just the wrong mentality, I know City are on a tear but they're not 1970's Brazil, they're entirely beatable if we turn up, we've already beaten them this season.

So basically use the rugby rules for time keeping.Watching Bournemouth beat Burnley and having nowhere to put this view I wonder what others think the commentator in the match was talking about time wasting . I dont think a card should be given for time wasting by (a) the Goalkeeper holding on to the ball too long (b)slow taking of a throw on (c) a player Slow leaving the field when being substituted (d) a player staying down too long when injured or supposedly injured .( e ) the goalkeeper taking liberties over goal kicks . I dont think cards should be given for any of these offences and I will tell you why all teams do these time wasting tactics when under pressure near the end of the game and some teams straight from kick off.
All teams waste times and cards given by referees for these offences are on the referees own opinion therefore subjective .
I would like to see professional time keepers and as I say no cards for these offences but a time limit for each subject for instance 8 seconds for a goal kick 6 seconds for a throw on go over the time the timekeeper stops the clock and restarted when the throw or kick is taken .
The ball is in the goalkeepers hands and he wants to take as long as possible before releasing the same again 8 seconds if not released stop the clock and restart when the ball is in play . A player goes down injured and is obviously going to stay down then stop the clock and restart the clock when the ball is in play . A player being substituted then stop the clock when the board is put up and restart the clock when the sub enters the field of play .These moves would ensure the game is closer to the 90 minutes it would also mean these teams that want to waste time would be in fact wasting their own time and finally it would stop the subjective view a ref takes on their decision what is taking to long and what is not .
