Mourinho needs to get hold of this team’s/squad’s tendency to drop off in intensity once we’re a couple of goals up. It’s already been punished once this season (you could argue twice and include the Newcastle game) and there’s really no excuse for it.

I thought Doherty’s only decent contribution so far - and it was a very good one - was the cross which Vinicius should have put away,

Lamela held onto it for “too long” once. He has won the ball back several times and played an important role in our second, releasing the ball quickly into the path of Bale.

Lucas has been good; nice finish and two wonderful touches.

Doherty has put a few good cross field balls in, he has slid in bale a couple of times, and has generally looked like a threat and has used the ball intelligently.

I don't have the stats but I have just witnessed lamela (again) give the ball away on a promising counter.

Lucas has been good a few times and has lost it a few times (hence hot and cold)

So basically I disagree

Let’s give him time. He’s played about 60 minutes today and Sunday. And he has an assist.
Hes done the basics really well. The first time passes. The positioning. Watching lamela not know when to pass vrs bales awareness...

Has he been magic, no. But I find it quietly encouraging. Yeah I want more though
