Best way to get match fitness is by playing actual games, can't do much worse than other midfield options anyway. It's not like we have to drop Modric, Dembele or Wanyama for him.
Oh, shut up pal. This shit troll act is getting boring.

Yeah I mean I could understand if the midfield are solid, they're not.
Regardless of comparisons with this player or that player, we clearly haven't got the best out of him, and at the moment he's our best chance of adding some creativity to the perennial shitshow that masquerades as our midfield.Talent wise ndombele is not at the level of kdb, yaya toure or modric ... I know it's hard to expect, but this is the reality... We have to accept it and move forward ... I think talent wise he is on similar level to jorginho, ramires type ... Good at his best day but not world class level ... The faster we accept it, the more we will appreciate ndombele ...
Begging for a 433 with GLC, Ndombele and the actual DM we’ve needed for 4 years.
man you want Ceballos over himHe is an average player ...I watched him even at lyon and didn't think he is top class player .... Don't expect him turn out like KDB or Havertz even though he is earning more or less same than these players and we spent similar amount of transfer fees on him ...

Its hard for us to know exactly what is going on, but from a managers prospective you cant play a player who is clearly unfit over players who are putting the effort in, no matter how shit they are. Again its early days.
Yeah unfortunately we don't get to watch training, it sounds like he is working hard though. I guess the question you have to ask is, even if the player who's starting is putting effort in, are they doing what you want them to do come match day?
I expect something. To expect nothing from a £60m player is setting a very low bar. And as you can guess from my original comment, I'm not just talking about this game - I'm talking about all his performances being the same: ineffectual so far. We need to stop making excuses for him.He had 15 minutes, You expect him to break the cycle coming in for 15 minutes to a game where every single one of his teammates other than the goalkeeper have been utter shit? after only 45 minutes of pre-season, it's ridiculous.
TBH I thought what is more ridiculous is the fact the supporters of Tanguy here are hoping he will be the answer to our midfield this season, wishing for him to start before today's game, and form the formidable midfield with Winks/Lo Celso and Hojbjerg, all without really seeing a proper full 90 minutes of him performing to a good standard (not even high standard) for a 60 odd million pound player. He had 15 minutes, You expect him to break the cycle coming in for 15 minutes to a game where every single one of his teammates other than the goalkeeper have been utter shit? after only 45 minutes of pre-season, it's ridiculous.
he's also 23 years old.. modric first joined spurs at the same age and struggled initially, KDB was sold to wolfsburg deemed not good enough for the PL at a similar age

I think the United game is a good marker, if he can get 20/30 minutes here and there in prem games whilst also starting some europa/cup games and build towards then we can slowly build to him becoming a key part of the team come the time that united game rolls around. Alternatively Jose could just throw him in early.
I watched modric at this first season ... He didn't play cm role initially and i would not say he struggled despite playing as left midfielder/winger ... Kdb was sold to wolfsburg not because he is not good enough but because he wont get game time ahead of oscar, cesc and other countless world class players at their peak in that time at chelsea ... Kdb was always physically and mentally built , so was modric with his low center of gravity and basic footballing sense ... Ndombele's situation is different as we need to completely take away what he learnt previously and teach him football from basic level ... You don't pay 55m and 200k wages to do that just because he can dribble and make a line breaking pass ... You don't see ndombele giving curling or swerving long cross or pin point toby-esque passes to dele ali ....
I am not saying in the future he will be bad player but I think he wont be at the similar level of modric or kdb even at his peak ...
I think he is the very crux of our concerns. Our starting XI isn't got enough because 60m has been wasted on a player who has, so far, offered nothing. He was the least of our concerns today, and should not be scapegoated.
