Palace are struggling really badly at present, but Hodgson knows how to organise a defence. They've been tight and difficult to score against for a long time. Even after losing their last 5 games, they've still only conceded 3 more goals than we have this season.

Indeed. None of the teams we have played since the restart have done what teams would routinely do when we were finishing second and third, which was to pack 8-9 men into a low block and kill the game. Even against West Ham and Newcastle, we have had some room to play on the break.
The contrary argument is that the low block doesn't work unless you are playing a pressing, possession-based opponent. Eventually,someone has to come out and play.

Great point. Can see this being really dull unless an early goal goes in and plans are changed.
they are better than their form suggests but our front 3 particularly H should be able to produce something to nick the win

Today we will need to play differently to how we have played in the last 5 games. They will have a low block and look to hit us on the counter, so we will need to break then down. Something we have been very poor at, not just under Mourinho but the last 18 months of Poch too. Shame Ndombele is injured as this could have been a game for him.
