I was happy to get Jose in as our Manager but if we are going to play like this every game and not even give Ndombele a sniff then I wont be watching anymore. Its so mind numbingly boring to watch.

You'd have a point if Winks was some 25 year old at the time but he was a promising academy player at that point, so it's only natural his stature grows.

He was always better when used as an 8. Now he's struggling in a deeper role and with no DM.

Honestly the only explanation is Mourinho trying to play shit football on purpose.

Toby, the master of long range passing, holding onto the ball and begging midfielders to come and collect it from him when the team was deep into the Bournemouth half, only to then pass backwards anyway. Multiple times. In the first half. Drawing. Against Bournemouth.

Good God, but this is truly dreadful stuff. I honestly have to go back to George Graham or the latter part of Gerry Francis' reign to remember a time when we were so lacking in any ambition. We had worse performances but even then there was some intent. This has been truly woeful against such poor opposition.

Depressing stuff for all involved.

Lamela and Bergwijn aren't playing their positions properly, but it's seems to be a reoccurring theme for whoever is put in those spots lately. Winks is afraid to make a mistake and it toting up meaningless passes.

What does Skipp have to do to get a game? He actually tracks runs and makes passes between the lines - 2 things that are completely alien to our current midfield.

I want to see a midfield 3 of Ndombele playing more advanced, Lo Celso slightly deeper and one of winks or Sissoko. There's no link between the midfield 2 and the front 4, Harry seems to be dropping deep to be the link.

That I do not disagree with. After four wins in the first five Jose has been a disaster.

What bugs me most is that he hasn't even done anything new. He looked at the squad with a fresh pair of eyes (multiple pairs if you include his backroom staff) and he's doing the exact same shit that got us into this mess in the first place.

Winks/Sissoko CM2? Check
Headless chickens Aurier and Moura preferred right wing duo? Check
Play painfully slow passing football and show no intent in the final third? Check
A painfully fragile defence that always has a mistake or two in it? Check

I didn't want Mourinho in but I at least thought he'd make tactical chances and there would be a difference in how we approached games. There hasn't been any.
