Nah, I'm not having this.

Rose has been here over a decade, puts his body on the line every time he plays, and has dealt with a whole ton of shit. He paid his penance for his comments about leaving when Walker did, same as Toby did. His outspoken nature is refreshing, same as Benni's was, and like any good Yorkshireman, he'll say what he likes, and you'll like what he bloody well says. His interviews have been more about raising awareness to issues like Depression and Racism in the game, which people still try to dismiss.

He's been up front about wanting to see out his contract, and then leave the game. In the meantime, I see him fully committed in every game he plays, irrespective of form. The lad is Spurs, and I've got his fucking back, not that he needs it.
What a load of bullshit

His outspoken nature isn't refreshing it's toxic and is a negative for the group and the club as a whole. Can't wait for him to leave

He's only been up front about wanting to see out his contract since he's turned to shit and nobody better than Spurs will go anywhere near him. Before that, he was all about getting a bigger contract and moving up north to be closer to his family. Doesn't seem that desperate to move closer to his family anymore if he'd rather sit on the bench for the next 18 months, collecting a wage that his 'below his worth', than push for a move closer to home.

This is utter lunacy. He's been shit, bar a few decent performances here and there last season. But more importantly he's a troublemaker. There's a difference between speaking your mind in a nice way and spewing utter acid and crap every time you open your mouth. Danny does the latter.

You say his interviews concern raising awareness in regards to racism and mental health. I disagree. So do you. In your next paragraph you mention that he spoke out about wanting to leave. Sterling raises awareness as to racism, Danny just opens his mouth with no thought process. Sterling I respect and admire. Rose is someone who is quite clearly, a troubled figure.

Now I won't come down too hard on him as he's obviously spoken about having issues with his mental health. If these problems are still ongoing, then it explains a lot of his unstable behaviour. And whilst he's given a lot to the Club, we cannot sacrifice the team spirit to mend him, neither is it ours or the Club's job.

So yes, he must go, ASAP.

Closing, whilst he's given his all for the club I'm not sure he's Spurs through and through. Also, no one has questioned his committment when playing. The problem is he's just been pants for 2 years now.

Him remaining here can even possibly play a part in him not doing well mentally so it would be best for all parties if we parted ways.

If you look at it from his perspective though he feels that he was underpaid for a large part of his time here. He's been paid similar wages to West Hams players when he's been in a team that's been in the top four. Why should he volunteer to move to a team on lower wages?
If we got him a move to somewhere closer to his family on similar wages he might consider it. Trying to get him to move to Watford in the summer was a really bad fit.

In that you regard Danny's comments and behaviour over the years as "refreshing", when they belong in a WWE "backstage conversation".
Sorry, I'm not an American teenager, so I don't know what the fuck that is. And what exactly has he said and done, specifically, that has rubbed you up the wrong way?

If you mean the initial interview he gave after Walker left, then he paid for that already didn't he, with a year on the sidelines. And he was bob on with that in the end wasn't he? He said the club wasn't serious about pushing ahead, that players will want to leave for trophies and bunce, didn't he? And look whats happening now.

And this latest thing isn't even verified, its shitey newspaper gossip. All the other interviews he's given, that I've read, have been progressive in nature.

I'm not going to castigate a Spurs player that's been committed to us for so long. All I'm seeing is the usual contradictions of "I think this player is really good, but he wants to leave, he should show loyalty" conflating with "urgh, I think this player is shite, I want to show him no loyalty and he should fuck off."

And that's me done with this shite.

This is so true. Hasn’t performed at a high level for far longer than Eriksen. And to top it off he regularly bad mouths the club and makes self serving comments.Yet Eriksen is the one who is the constant target for irate fans. Work that one out ??‍♂️
This. The guy is an absolute liability. Not only is he terrible on the pitch, he can’t stop bad mouthing us. Sooner he is gone the better. I’m embarrassed every time I see him in our shirt.

Well you're sure as hell throwing your toys out of your pram like an American teenager. Yes, in fact like one who's daddy didn't buy him a Range Rover for his sweet sixteenth birthday party. Stop crying because I said your opinion is lunacy. One day your balls will drop and you will be OK.

Your initial post, which is what we were discussing, stated that Rose's interviews concerned racism and depression. You yourself have given, in the space of 3 posts, 3 examples of Rose quotes which did not concern racism and depression, but rather an attack on the Club's (and his employer's) ambition. So you moaning about condradictions from fans is pathetic and rather hypocritical.

For what it's worth, I agree that we can't demand loyalty when we ourselves are disloyal. But that's not the point with Rose.

My point - and please try and read this part carefully through your still teary because I called your opinion a lunacy eyes - is that Rose doesn't deserve any pats on the back or any sympathy for his toxic comments/behaviour because he's a prick that's been badmouthing the Club I'm loyal to for over 3 years. That's not "refreshing". It's horrible. Would you expect a pat on the back if you bad-mouthed your employer in public? If he was so concerned about the Club, perhaps he ought to have kept all this crap to himself rather than ridicule us in public.

Jan has been shit all year too. Have you seen me be "disloyal" to him? No. To the contrary I'd like to see him stay on as a squad player. I'm loyal to Jan because he deserves it. If you're loyal for the sake of being loyal, then I strongly suspect you also believe in Jesus.

So a day after Rose has a “bust up” with Jose, this appears in the Sun...
View attachment 61849
By notorious hack Dave Kidd, saying that senior players are unhappy with Jose.

Now, let me see, who did Rose do his infamous “I know what I’m worth” interview with trashing the club’s transfer policy?

Oh, that’s right, it was with Dave Kidd. You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to piece together this puzzle, do you?

Just fuck off to Newcastle, Danny.
You hit the nail on the head. It was the first thing I thought when I read that article.

if he is the source or one of the sources then he’s become toxic, which is a real shame because a few years ago he was a top class player.

Man lived long enough to see himself become Emanuel Adebayor.
