I'm going to just draw a line under this one so I don't hold out a hope that 'you never know'.

Feels very very messy if you ask me, the entire approach for a second window.

I’m gonna trust dragon1 on this. He says it’s a no. Obv. things change etc. but I seriously think it’s agent price-hike banter.
I like the sound of the other Fernandes, not just the player, but the type of deal. Virtually risk free.
Also despite all the media haters, it shows Jose is trying to develop youth, and not just get the finished article.
More if this please.

I read it as we are in talks with another Portuguese midfielder who is not Bruno Fernandes. Rather than we are talking to someone else instead of Fernandes

Edit - a Portuguese international not necessarily a midfielder

Possibly, but we’re not signing him. I’d say we had our shot, and now it’s Utd to close the deal.

Might give Lo Celso more utility, given the recent ITK about Mourinho not rating him

Yeah, we probably won't sign him but I dont think dragon1 said he is a no go
