He shouldn’t be a professional footballer. He has no talent. Every team in the league, bar West Ham, have a better second choice. Stop this fucking bullshit “good enough to be second choice” - no he isn’t. He isn’t good enough to be between the sticks, he can’t be trusted in any game. Signed because he’s from the same town as Poch - quite disgraceful really.

I hate being a hater but he has all the weaknesses of every keeper we’ve had with none of the strengths. Sometimes when I look at the team line-up, I cross my fingers and hope it’s the wrong way around and Kane’s in goal. More chance of a clean sheet that way.

not sure he did much wrong today, can't really be faulted for the goal, was far worse performers today

What about the two or three spills at their on-rushing attackers feet, when they weren’t even hit hard? Or when under no pressure the **** with the best kicking in world football™️ just punted it out of play for a throw to them? He is by far the least talented player in the squad, it is embarrassing to have him play for us.

For all this fabled confidence he inspires in our defence according to some deluded posters - him being in goal virtually guarantees no clean sheet.

His distribution is woeful, doesn't even look around to see if there is anyone breaking who he can just throw it out to.

Just looks gormlessly up at Kane and hoofs it.

Personally think he should have been out at ings is feet for the goal.

I also think he is at blame for some of our defensive woes,

I think Hugo being such a good sweeper keeper made some of our defenders look better than they actually are as their lack of pace wasn’t exposed and he used to eradicate the fear of the ball being played over their heads but now sadly with us at the moment Paulo simply is not good enough to do that job.

I also think he has serious handling issues but his actual shot stopping is fantastic he seems to have took a huge knock in confidence after the howler a few weeks back.

How the fuck is Gazzaniga being picked out after that? He's not even great at all but Jesus, the shit in front of him is much more of a worry than him himself.

It’s not. He’s made a couple Hollywood saves and maybe one save he shouldn’t have. Roberto at West Ham made a load of unreal saves when he was deputising. Gazza’s shot stopping is nowhere near approaching anything out of the ordinary.

A team is only as strong as its weakest link - which in our case, is the calamity we have in gloves.

all the shit in front of him, lack of quality or desire from our so called big stars, and the second choice keeper is getting singled out for criticism lol

Absolutely far from the main problem. I'm dumbfounded at how anyone can watch that match, see how we can barely make a fucking pass, can't create any move, can't get a shot at goal and then point at Gazzaniga. Like what the hell.

He is a massive contributor to that shite. Remember when we signed friedel and dropped Gomes. You could almost feel the calmness he brought with him. Gazzaniga is a talentless bellend, who can’t save low shots, claim crosses, or do much other than punt it straight in the general direction of Kane.

Yeah but what does that have to do with the game we've just seen? How does he contribute to our outfield players giving the ball away all game? How does he contribute to us not being able to create a chance? How does he contribute to us barely being able to get a shot on target?

I'm not saying he's not detrimental to us in any way, but fuck me there are some things that are just not down to him, like todays performance.

He is a problem, but FAR from the main one.

His apologists are fucking embarrassing. Piss off. He’s shit, and you lot pathetically tried to make out he was cementing his spot in the first 11, as if he’s in the same league as Lloris. Hilarious how blinkered you can be when you dislike Lloris for whatever reason. He’s made more mistakes in his brief time deputising than Lloris has in his whole Spurs career.

What are you struggling with? Every time the fucker gets the ball he aimlessly punts it up or off now. We don’t hold on to the ball because this dumbed down version of Heurelho Gomes gives possession up to the opposition every time it comes his way. He is a huge part of the problem, the defence looks shakier than ever and IMO it’s because they don’t trust him to do his job.

In the 90th minute - the ball comes to him under no pressure - and he fucking punted it out for a throw. When we’re chasing a goal, you don’t think that plays a part in our downfall?

I’m fine with us replacing Lloris if need be - but I’m sick of having to endure this Southampton flop in goal.

I'm not struggling with anything, I know he is a problem, I was pissed off with that exact moment at the end when he punted it and Eriksen was in acres of space, it was fucking shit. But let me say, how many passages of play did we have today that had nothing to do with fucking Gazzaniga that we still managed to fuck up, time and time again throughout the whole match? The large bloody majority.

I can see that Gazzaniga is a problem for sure, but if you can't see that we had a shit load more on the pitch that was more of a worry than Gazzaniga today then there's no point in even continuing this.

2 things I noted watching Gazzainga directly in front of me in the 2nd half.

1 pointed out by my son that he spills an awful lot of low shots.

2 his distribution today was awful. Long hoofs up the pitch that went out for throws on the left.

Southampton didn't create a lot and Ings could have gone either side of him for the goal.

On low shots, Gazzaniga always either spills the save or lets it go into the net. Thats nothing new. He is awful at low shots. His distribution has always been overrated on here.

I'll put you down as undecided.
