Id go for Klopp but if that doesnt work out then Brenda

If neither are up for it then im going for the Cougar - Mourinho. It may not last long but will be entertaining pressers etc

Entertaining pressers but stagnant football.

I know we have our issues with defense but would rather not have to watch us park the bus with Mou.

My son mentioned Julian Nagelsmann today. Reckons he'd be a good fit.

I’d not heard of him until recently and someone else mentioned him. Did a bit of research, and he does look a great fit. Young and energetic coach who has got very good results playing above their level with a lesser German team, now gone to Red Bull Leipzig. Started the season pretty well, but a couple of draws and losses has seen them slip from the top, albeit only by one point.
This is an interesting read.

You are right. I dont really want Mourinho but there arent many options out there. Allegri is also a very pragmatic manager and not exactly entertaining

Lucien Favre? I like how Dortmund play football but they do lack some teeth.

I do think Bundesliga though is where we could find a good one. Nagelsmann at RB? I am certain one or two from there would come here.

If we have genuine ambitions to turn this shit show around, then it has to be Mourinho. He knows the league as well as anyone and can hit the ground running, just as importantly though is the fact that he is a winner.

I'd like Rodgers, but he won't walk away from Leicester. Don't blame him really.

Benitez would be great short term, he'd get us top 4.

Ancelotti - not leaving napoli
Rafa - not leaving China £££
Howe - would be way out of his depth with whatever is going on
Jose - available, comes with pedigree and is ruthless.
Yes the football might not be pretty but some of our play has been woeful, could it be any worse?
Porto and his first spell at chelski produced some pretty impressive play so if he’s up for the challenge I’d bring him in on a short term deal to see how it goes.
All hypothetical though as I can’t see DL getting shot of Poch...

Agree about Rodgers being a good choice but also that he won’t walk from Leicester. Thought he was a bit unlucky at Liverpool.

If Poch goes it will be Mourinho. It's Levy's next step to make the club a global name.

And Mourinho doesn't play boring football. It's called winning football and only at United has it been pretty boring and the guy got them 2nd and Europa League with that pile of crap squad.

Poch has lost whatever he had with these players but it doesn’t matter who we get with enic running the club. The game is about profit with them and always will be they don’t give a fuck about us fans or should I say customers

Nagelsmann has just taken on RB Leipzig and is rumoured to be the preferred long term option of Bayern. On top of that I have heard/read rumours that the City heirarchy are also keeping tabs on him. We are not going to get him, just like we wouldn't be able to coax Rodgers away from Leicester.

As for Howe, it all depends on what you want for the club. Howe is the romantics choice; a young, English coach playing an attacking brand of football and a Spurs fan himself. His Bournemouth team however, seem to struggle to defend (not like we have a leg to stand on here but...) and he has zero experience in Europe. Put bluntly there are still question marks around Howe, big ones.

The question marks around Mourinho are less of a problem. The football would be pragmatic, but I'd honestly prefer that to what Poch is serving up right now. Just the idea of an organisated and gritty performance gives me the warm fuzzies.

Appointing Mourinho would be an admission of defeat for Levy. He's spend the better part of his tenure here talking about "doing things differently" and not operating like the other big clubs, well appointing Mourinho would be exactly that. I'm not necessarily opposed to it but can't see it happening.

Surely he'd be looking for a 'new' Pochettino.

given what we’re recently having to watch, i don’t see how anyone could complain at the thought of Jose.

yes, his success may be short term and peak at 3 seasons. but i will remind you, 5 seasons of Poch and we’ve won the grand total of nothing. with the best squad we’ve had in recent memory.

My concern with Allegri is that, beyond managing Juve and Milan, he's not really been that great. His managerial history is a bit underwhelming beyond that, so there's an argument to say that he's done well with teams that were dominating a league that wasn't that competitive. On one hand, he's reached the UCL final twice. On the other, he's lost twice.
He earned the Milan job by taking Cagliari to the Europa League and winning Seria A coach of the year in the 2008-09 season. He's a top manager, and one who doesn't have a history of leaving his clubs in tatters the way Jose does. For me he's the best available coach on the market.

I don't know much about him, other than that he was Juve manager and some info on Wiki

I've just issued @Shadydan with 2x Winner ratings in a row. If Israel and Palestine can both agree that Poch should get the elbow and Mourinho should be his replacement then surely the rest of the world should take notice?
